Shape Select! by frances

[raw]
made by frances for Ludum Dare 46 (COMPO)

Shoot shapes! Don't let the shapes touch you! Keep special shapes alive!

This is the first 3D game that I have completed. I'm happy with what I made because I learned so much from making it! screenshot3.png

Nice game. But player can tap multiple times on one figure while it scaling to 0.

Fun game! This would be crazy in VR.

I agree with @troll-hunterx this would be so cool in VR. It is also kind of scary seeing random objects coming towards you

I agree with the guy above, this would make for a great VR Title.

The audio is perfect, the graphics simplistic for what it required, and is overall enjoyable.

The theme interpretation isn't exactly what I expected, but it is a welcome one.

Interesting type of game! And I agree with other people, VR would be nice. Good Job :)

Took a couple of tries to get going :) It got very hard to see and click a shape just before dying because all shapes kind of were over each other. It was fun, good job.

That's an interesting game. I agree with the problem of shapes "fighting" each other when they come close.

Nice! It was a bit difficult the first time, but I got the hang of it. I think this could be a great horror game if you changed the assets up a bit. There's some sense of panic induced when looking for the right shape and scary assets might help with that.

Nice little game, very solid. I love the click sound you get on a success reminds me of a home run in smash brothers. My brain doesn't work fast enough to reconcile the two different criteria so I didn't feel like I got to far haha.

This game is surely addicting!!! I played some kind of card game like this where you match 4 cards with only one similar feature, I forgot what its called. I really loved that idea and to see it in a video game is just amazing!

Fun game, I loved how the rules system worked!

Here's some feedback:
* I think the rules system could be extended to help create more challenge after you get used to it
* The shapes could use an outline or something to help distinguish them? Maybe that's just my own preference though
* It could be cool to have the shapes collide with each other, so that they block each other rather than intersect with each other

Addicting! That was really quite the panic starter. Takes a few games to get going. The pressure is REAL. Kept cursing all the way through . The theme is not as encapsulated but the game is still great! Also, perhaps there is a way to make the criteria easier to read or recognize.

The game really draws you in the more times you play. It's just the right amount of confusing to produce the right amount of fun. The panic steadily rises as the game takes longer, and it really gets your heart pumping at times.

Keeping track of matches is literally my nightmare, so not my style of game, but looks well done

Really cool and innovative!

Some colors are hard to distinguish when in rush (like red and orange)

The only thing that bugged me was that some colors were too similar to others in different lighting - other than that, a great game, I had a lot of fun playing it!

I love this sort of games I cant stop playing them. This one is simple and just as addictive. I love the 360 view, it does not complicate it too much, it just makes it better. Good job! I got 860, I just couldn't handle new info so almost every time I got new instructions I messed it up.
