The year in 1987. People say disco is dead, but you know better - time to go out to the clubs and prove them wrong.
With your sweet dance moves, and some bottles of Spanish wine, turn the whole world into disco freaks!
How to play
The world is full of dorks and punks. Time to turn them on to the power of disco!
Dance around the dorks to turn them into disco freaks, and turn the punks into dorks (gotta start somewhere!) by throwing them some good wine. Once everyone in a club has been turned on, on to the next one!
But beware: the dorks and punks are also looking to make converts, with their boring classical records and broken bottles of cheap whiskey.
You only have so much Disco Power to keep you going. When you're running low, grab a drink from the bar to recharge.

Disco Lives supports keyboard and controllers.

A few setbacks along the way, but otherwise it wouldn't have been an adventure. I was really grooving to the tune, and the art/sfx captured the spirit nicely. Controls smooth, game rules clear, very nice retro arcade gameplay with a few interesting interactions to explore (yes disco does beget disco!).
Very nice entry hitting all the bases, well done!
@devesh-sharma Humor is definitely a weird category in Ludum Dare. I do think there's a bit of humor in this one but agree that it's not the main focus!
@alekpinel Yeah, more music would be nice for sure. It's always ends up being a pretty last minute thing for me.
@goutye shhhh don't tell anyone, but the score system in this isn't really that well thought out. That's a pretty good one but I think you'll get around 30000 points just by finishing.
But my second playthrough I got it. Great job!
