Really wanted to try light as the mechanic too, fire felt so tempting to use!
Solid idea.

scrollwheel crashed my game, and the controls didn't seem to work for me :(

oh got it now. is there any way to make more fire? all i could do was pick up twigs to keep my fire going. graphics were pretty nice though!

Selecting new items to make seemed a little clumsy, but I absolutely love the mood and story of the game. Just the spooky campfire exploration sim I wanted. Great job!

This was a really simple but great game!
You get tense when it starts to get dark, you really wanted to keep the fire alive during the game.
Good Job!

Just an update: it's more of a game concept than a fun game. Also, there are three notes and an easter egg.

Solid game, I can see this being worthy putting more time into. The biggest thing missing is audio IMO.

A simple game but very well executed! I played quite a few times but just couldn't find the third note. I might play this a bit later and see if I can find it though.

Apart from issues with selecting items to craft, this was a very suspenseful game and a really cool experience overall! Awesome work!

This is really good!
Very strong mood created with the creepy atmosphere and the quickly dying fire!
Also very cool that the items are randomly placed each new game.

v good to see a jam game from you! love a frantic moody campfire scurrying experience
i can proudly say that my run ended in me falling out of the world. strategically lighting n de-lighting my torch helped me get around, lol-- and yea more fleshed out audio would be a real good touch, you should totally toy with jam sfx generators like bfxr in the future

The low poly style really fits the atmosphere. There is a real aim in keeping the fire alive, and it's not just a pretext. So yeah, actually pretty pleasing.

I like it! I got the impression that I was playing low poly Slender ;D But it's sad that the game crashed four times when I was in the inventory...

A cool idea, but the lack of any way to finish or progress led me to find an exploit by scroll wheeling in and out of the torches, and i wandered the edge of the map for a while before realizing the game actually had no ending when i found the third note. The atmosphere and premise had me hooked at first, but there was unfortunately so little to do. I wish there was more (any?) audio, made it hard to stay invested.

I like this kind of game. It's better if there is an objective to make game win. Anyway, mood is great. I feel secure when I can find my fireplace in sight...

It is very quiet in peacetime, terrible sound will sound when staying in the dark for too long, the overall atmosphere is depressed and tense, it's good!

I see a lot of us tried the idea of keeping a torch lit, and every time I feel like it makes for a great mood!

I liked this a lot, but it'd be a lot beter if it had audio.
