SAW: 60 Second Loop

SAW: 60 Second Loop is a game made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 47.

The goal of this game is maybe not to win it as fast as possible, but learn from your previous attempts in order to become a better human.

This game is heavily inspired by SAW.

Please don't play this if you're very scared of that Billy puppet (as this game has a very crappy pixelart recreation of him)

First of all, I didn't finish the game, so keep that in mind. I got stuck (hehe) after finish all the obvious puzzles (box, first pin code, button on chair, button on wall, fast clicking one).

I love SAW themes, so this game was really like crafted for me. Your voice over - perfect one! Mood is on right place, the gameplay is reassembling escape-the-rooom type, which is fine. But I have a problem with games which, instead of coming with some gameplay change, use loop as "restart and try again". Well, every roguelike game is probably perfect for current theme, because you do the "same" over and over again.

Despite my complaining about life etc. I liked this one, good job my fella!

Hello. First of all - Awesome entry. Spend a lot more time on this than I initially thought. There is a lot of stuff going right in this entry. The implementation of the theme is pretty good, the mini games are fun enough to master and the visuals are pretty cool. I also liked the big AHA moment that I don't want to spoil here :P The audio is something that could be improved. While your voice acting is really cool, I found the music a bit too repetitive. One of the puzzles also could need better feedback (maybe make it so that the buttons you pressed glow?). Definitely the most confusing thing for me was the ending. I have the feeling that I missed something but I couldn't really figure out if that's true. Oh well. Really had some good fun with this one. Good job and please keep making games :)

@warrrkus Thank you so much for playing the game, I did actually notice that the wall puzzle one was a bit confusing since it lacked feedback, I tried to do something about it but I didn't have much time as I implemented that puzzle around two hours before deadline. If you're talking about the ending screen you get for winning, that was a pretty rushed one because of lack of time.

@bukkaketears I'm really glad you liked the voice over, I was pretty worried it would be difficult actually hearing what was being said, resulting in the goal being confusing, but I hope that wasn't the case.

**SPOILER: ** those 5 puzzles that you mentioned are the only 5 puzzles needed in order to find the code to the big pin code. Thanks for playing!

Really nice horror-puzzle game.
It has the escape room vibes and challenges!
At some parts I felt really pressured but I guess that was intended :D

I love escape game so clearly I'm the right audience ahah. I like it a lot, the old school presentation is very nice and the minigames are simple yet fun. One thing though, when I tried to press E to look into the hole but nothing happened :/ Otherwise, good job!

I really liked the game but I couldn't finish it. I didn't find the 3 button answer (right side of the chair). great work :v:

I couldn't make out what the synthesized voice was saying at all. :( It might be useful to add subtitles, or a transcription in the description, as an accessibility feature?

Really cool escape game! I really like the puzzle and minigame though I couldn't figure out the 3 button one so I have to brute force and guess the final number =)) But other than that this is a very fun and solid game. Well done!

Nice mini games but the 3 button puzzle felt a bit random. I haven't found any clues on this one. The peeping through the gunhole was hilarious!

This is a very unique game! hahaha

I liked very much the mood, the ambientation and the graphics style (it reminded me of playstation 1). I suppose you were recording your voice in the middle of the night, so you couldn't talk loud or something? haha, because it is a bit muffled. Maybe if it had subtitles to accompany the speech, it would make it easier to understand the instructions.

I managed to beat all the mini-games, but the number that appears to me on the wall isn't working. If I were supposed to do something with it, the clue definitely isn't clear, because I tried a lot. The clicking mini-game is fun and the one with the keys reminded me of some flash games, especially that one with the jump scare haha.

Overall, it's a very interesting and nostalgic game!

Really cool aesthetic and minigames. The voice in the beginning is really muffled, subtitles would be nice. I really could not figure out the 1 2 3 buttons one, I have no idea what more clues could be in the room, so I just beat all the others and randomly guessed the last number in the combination. The music is nice and intense, the ending is anti-climactic but in this case I think discovering the pin code is the real reward.

Nifty! As others said, the 1 2 3 button one I couldn't solve. I think I even tried all combinations.
Anyhow, guessed the last number and made it to the door :)

Cool!

Had a lot of fun with this one. Though I did figure it out eventually, it would be useful to have a little more direction when it comes to the 3 buttons on the wall.

I really liked the atmosphere of your game. The minigames are interesting. And the graphics with a retro feel are very attractive. Unfortunately I couldn't understand the button puzzle (1, 2, 3, reset and submit), so I couldn't finish it. Anyway, the game experience in general is very good. Congratulations.
