Screenshot_18.png

You find yourself stuck in a world where you seem to progress but at the same time you're not. If that isn't bad enough, you only have a limited amount of time to break this loop.

Do you find the ways to progress?

Are you fast enough?

Feel free to share your remaining times, we're curious how quickly you speed run our little game!

About the Ludum Dare

Both @StuxGeek and @Rhaelser have been into game dev for several years, yet we haven't really participated into something real, something that challenges us! This Ludum Dare was our very first ever participation into a game jam. We're surprised how much more you learn from having to push yourself beyond your own expectations!

This will definitely not be our last Ludum Dare! :beers:

This game was very visually appealing! I loved the design of the main character as well as the animations. The sun light was very beautiful although at first it took me a bit to find the pulley thing in the sun. I really enjoyed the concept of adding an additional element each loop! well done :)

I like the simple graphics. It's fun to find what new thing you gotta do in each room. Restarting from the beginning for running out of time gets frustrating. Also, when I fall down the void it doesn't restart: I have to wait for the timer to end.

I like the idea of having to do the same thing over and over, but with an extra step each time. My potato PC couldn't handle the game with a reasonable framerate, I guess the post processing effects were killing my trash GPU.

I had some troubles at the start to understand your game, but then it was interesting to play. My problem was the missing feedback that the door had opened. Nice graphics! Some music and sound effects would be great.

A bit hard to understand that door opened, but game is very nice! Good job! Idea to add a step for each loop is cool!

Game is great! But can't find "Stuck in a loop" concept. Also like for Unreal Engine, graphics is 10 out of 10

Very tough, but neat concept. The camera was a little jarring, especially when trying to make precise jumps.

Love the look of the game. Mouse sensitivity was a bit high. I got stuck in the 3rd room as well... Overall it was a great idea. Good job! :)

So I really wanted to give that game more of a try but when my computer started to heat a lot, I gave up.

Other than that, the game is really pretty, I couldn't manage to finish it since I was stuck where they were some levers and I couldn't figure out what the code was. The character is cute also !
I wish they were some sounds to it, it'd really help ! If you need audio for your next game jam, you could try freesounds.org, it helped me a lot.

If you ever fix that issue about the graphic card going crazy, I'd gladely try the game again !

I didn't manage to finish the game but I'll definitely try again, because I liked it. The idea itself is not that much original but I think it was very well done in this game. More feedback though that you manage to unlock something would be nice. Actually, the game was missing some soundtrack and sound effects. But visually it was nicely done. I really liked the character. Also the camera was glitching a lot. But overall it's a very nice game, especially for a game jam.

Hi there, thought this was nicely done! The graphics gave my old computer some lag but that may have just been me. The controls felt nice though and I liked the look of it a lot, and the puzzles.

Cool little 3D platformer game!

Here are my feedback:

_Positive points
- Good graphics
- The design of the main character is nice
- The controls are quite responsive
- The concept uses well the theme

_Negative points
- Lack of sounds, it would have added more ambiance to the game

Overall: gg for your work, especially for a first time!

Gorgeous game! I think some basic sounds would have really improved the experience, but it was great fun without it. I agree with other commenters - I think sending you back to the beginning of the game if you fail was needlessly punishing and frustrating. Still, great job

WoW those graphics are really good and controlls feel responsive.

A bit hard to understand that the door opened and going all the way back was a bit harsh but pretty good game overall.

Cute graphics! I liked how intuitive controls were. But it was a bit exhausting to start from the first level every time) Overall I liked the game! Thanks for creating it, was fun to play.

Theme is implemented masterfully, full immersion, I felt completely helplessly stuck in the loop.:D
I wish the game had SFX-s or at least a soundtrack. I appreciate the effort put into 3d models, they looked good. And the falling bridge planks were a nice touch, I liked that mechanic. Overall I had fun playing it, got stuck in the 3rd room, thought the final puzzle there was binary code referring to the room number or the number of boxes in the room, but no luck. :)

Cool little game, I really liked the visuals and the puzzle concept. I honestly love these kinds of games so I really enjoyed this, though one thing I think would have made it more enjoyable if the timer was counting up instead. I feel like it would be more enjoyable to be able to take in the puzzles and stuff around you to try and figure it out, but then once you know it all you can speed run it and post your times, that way people who take their time enjoy it and people who want to compete for times will enjoy it. But still a really fun, cool little game overall and really good job on the visuals. Keep it up, guys!

Cool game, I really loved the graphics and the idea of repeating the same puzzle with one more thing to do. The game really need a checkpoint system as it is quite frustrating to have to restart from level 1 every time (especially given that you often lose your first try on a new puzzle) or to get rid of the timer (or as said in other comments, make it a counting timer to allow speedrun): puzzles are a challenge on their own and don't really need a timer to become one. The game would also gain from having sound: a background music would really add to the mood of the game and a effect could be use to give a feedback that the door opened (easier to do than a visual feedback). I got stuck in 3rd room :'( but I enjoyed it overall: it is fun and pleasing visually

Very cool game ! I would have loved a music and sound effects to have feedback about what your actions do, even a basic text message can do the job at the beginning btw ^^
It was your first game jam, please continue to make more games ! You guys did an amazing job in terms of environment and post processing effects.
Keep it up!

I beat it! Definitely a fun entry, although I'll admit if I didn't get lucky and guess the combination of levers, I probably would have given up. I don't know if we had gotten any clues to it up until that point, but I was just clicking randomly trying to beat the clock.
