The Tribe by Tommy

The Tribe is a card game in which you have to feed a constantly growing tribe, progressing through time and unlocking better ways of producing food for your increasingly big family of cavemen. Keeping them alive, year after year, is your goal!
How to Play
- drag cards from your hand into the field to play them
- each card has a cost, listed in the top-right corner (you will pay it for playing it indipendently of where you play it)
- cards can be played into the field for their effects (listed in the bottom half of the card), or into one of the three left zones for a special effect (duplicate the card, remove it from the deck, upgrade it)
- each time you play a card, you get to draw a new one from the deck
- after each turn, all your cards go back in the deck, it gets shuffled and you get to draw a new hand
- each turn, you will need to produce enough food to sustain your population, otherwise you will lose the game
- each turn, your population will grow, demanding more food
- if you collect enough faith by worshipping the gods, they will gift you the choice of a new card

I agree an "undo" option would be more user-friendly but then, as you said, it would contradict some rules of the game, so I don't know how to do it.
Also, I was not able to see my cursor during the game. Maybe I am the only one with this problem.
But the game is really cool. With more polish and maybe a bigger adventure, this could be a really good smartphone game. Congratulation !
I would suggest adding some graphical art to cards to make them more distinguishable and good looking, because after some time, it became tiring to read the names all the time.
@slurp1e and @kosmik123: I would have loved to have better and more graphics in general, but as an engineer I was not the right person to do it, and unfortunately I could get Francesca to work on it only for a few hours.
@pixelcrustpunk you can see the amount of cards in the deck in the bottom-right corner, it might be a good additions to add also the possibility of opening the deck and seeing which actual cards you still have there.
@brandon-gonzalez what platform did you run the game on, so that I may try to catch and fix the bug?
Add a better tutorial and you would have a reeeeeaaally cool game. This was a really good work, is impressive, congrats.
I liked the minimalist percussions soundtrack which fits the theme, and also the way the background changes as the population grows (took me some time to notice it). More explanations about the strategy of discarding and copying cards would be nice because it's not easy to figure out those mechanics in early game.
There was loads of depth and it really felt like I was learning the cards and mastering the rules. The one major problem I had was that the Raiding card upgraded from a net positive food gain to a food loss card and I had not planned for that at all! My general strategy was to upgrade each new card to rank 3 before making copies, so I couldn't go back and get a food-positive raid card :(
