About

"Keep the Party Alive" is a game where you play as an overly attentive party host. Keep those drinks, snacks and more going, because the guests are easily bored!

Keep the party alive for as long as you can! Share your High Scores in the comments below!

Gameplay:

In the game, you will need to take care of the Party's guests. Guests will frequently request refreshments or snacks to be delivered.

fetch.png

They will just as often make a mess that you will need to clean up.

The music will not suit everyone's tastes, so you'll have to sometimes switch the soundtrack

Moreover, some of the guests will have one drink to many, and will be needed to be thrown out of the party.

Hey, we had almost the exact same ideas! Haha
I really liked your interpretation of the idea. The ability to throw items is something I hadn't thought of. I think the game should have an end state, like reaching 0 (I played until I was at -1300). The props you made were also really good.

Nice and well executed take on the idea! I did find the web version pretty much unplayable though, I had to download it to play properly.

This was SO MUCH FUN
I love the mechanics and the graphics! The low poly is so good!
I had a bit of trouble with the walls I guess, but maybe that was just me... I tried to run as fast as I could to get stuff and was constantly bumping into the walls while internally screaming "WHERE IS THE DOOOOOOOOOOR" hahahahahaha
Very fun!!

Great take on the theme! It took a little while to understand where to help each person, but once I mastered the scenarios I felt like I was doing pretty good! Really fun!

Maybe I would prefer it as a 2D game, since I sometimes find it very confusing to look for objects and people in all that mess... nice idea though! I really like your take on the theme :)

Nice idea, cool graphics and smooth gameplay, good thing that there is infinite mode, I don't like time limits :) Good job!

Nice game! Really like the atmosphere. Had some trouble with the controls at first but nothing major.

I really like the music and the low poly graphics. The mechanics were fun, but it wasn't satisfying when I solved a problem - maybe I was doing it wrong.

Ok I just reread the directions. Sounds ridiculous, but I was picking up the guests and taking them to the thing they wanted.

This game is a lot of fun, love it! What a polished execution for a jam game, really beautiful and well done. Some of the items were a little unclear, maybe a some help with that would make the experience even better. Like highlight or even a map. In any case, thisis great.

Exellent game. Realy well done. I had to play a few times till I accept the idea of having to go like crazy around the house in order to keep it alive!! ajajaj but thats the idea isnt it? and that's how it is in real life partys when you are the host. You really got the escence of what guests commonly demand. I took me long to understand how to satisfie each one of the diferent demands, the vomit I could not get it. Huge house, well designed. I hoped the music was a litle bit more of a real party, techno, house rather than "the sims" music, nice detail to be able to change it. Super game!

Maybe a bit to overwhelming at first everything you have to do but like that gameplay idea andinterpretation of the theme. Maybe framerate was a bit to low and character a bit to quick in that regard, but the dancing animation of the surrounding people kept me smiling ;)

This is a fun take on the theme! I think that it was well executed, the environment was interesting to move through and the quests showed up at about the right speed to keep me interested. It was interesting that you could pick up and move guests at will, I ended up stacking some of the ones in the further away rooms right by the kitchen after one requested a drink just as I brought one to the person they were talking with. I found the camera to be quite floaty for my taste, when I was just starting it was a little nauseating. You did a great job designing around using outside character models, they did not look out of place at all in the rest of the house. Overall very well done!

Love the idea! Found the camera movement a little bit sickening, and struggled to find where things were / where to take people sometimes, but being able to just carry people around was a laugh

Thanks everyone for the very positive feedback! To make sure everyone is able to play our ludum dare submission, we rolled out an update that makes it possible to disable the camera movement in the main menu, and make it static to the player position. Hopefully that will remove the nausea some people were feeling. We are also working on a post jam update to polish a few things!

@despdair thanks for the screenshot. We're looking into making the web build more playable, but as it is right now, the game is very unoptimised for this setting. We recommend playing the desktop build, and only use the web build as a quick look into the game.

@touchme you can open callstack in player settings of html5 to understand what is going on and what causes crash/lag etc.

Ha neat! At first I thought the garbage had to be emptied. It took me a minute to realize that it was indicating where garbage could go. Wasn't sure where to put the barfer so I put him by the toilet. The camera changing angle made me kinda motion sick, maybe a fixed angle option is possible? Cute game though, lots of fun!

@madbarron Glad you enjoyed it! There`s an option at the bottom of the main menu to make the camera static :P
