Competently made. The feedback the player receives is well implemented (screenshake and the like) and make it fun to shoot the weapon.

Graphics and Sound works out pretty well, especially the voice over.

The decision to limit the players movement to only up and down felt weird. Especially, since you only could use the "W" and "S" key. I get that the game didn't need horizontal movement, but if you argue that then movement wasn't needed at all anyways. That's just a nitpick, tho. :)

Good job. :)

Well done! I was actually a bit disappointed when it ended, I had just gotten like 3000 moneys to buy upgrades with :D I like the upgrading, as it lets you decide on your playstyle (accurate and high damage but low ROF, or like I did - all in on Rate of Fire and just spray and praying :D). Also you got a voiceover! And a cutscene! Nice work !

@wolfrug Thanks for the feedback. I didn't want to make the game too long as I know most users will leave in the first three minutes but I'm glad you enjoyed :) Now I wish I'd made it longer hahaha

Well honestly at first I had the feeling it would be a regular top down shooter, but it isn't it's actually pretty cool ! Your game have some depth and originality, the gamedesign is well balance, the upgrade system works well. I had a great time playing congratz !

I had way more fun playing this than I thought I would! The feeling at every bullet is great, the balance is good (every time I survived just on time) and every new enemy was a big WOW from me (even if there is only 3 different enemies).

A small thing to improve: an endless mode after the end would have been great :)

Edit: I REALLY appreciated that you took the time to make a tutorial! Very few games do that and it really helps the player to stock to your game fast

good job! was a lil short as is the case with jam games, but yea an upgrade system or the like that you've got definitely keeps people playing and is a fun addition, heh-- i enjoyed it

Enjoyed, liked the graphics and music. The difficulty ramps up very quickly and would like to see gamepad controls.

Really liked this one! Started off simple enough, but you nailed the difficulty. By the end my base was destroyed and I was desperately clinging on for survival against the mega enemies! My only complaint is that I got really excited to spend my 3,000 points, but then I won the game after I spent them! A level to use your fully kitted out gun would have been cool.

Awesome job! Really enjoyed playing your game! Love that there was a cutscene with VO to introduce it. I think it was really cool that you implemented AI to fight with you, and they worked perfectly too. It was a nice touch to have the weapon not be perfectly accurate, its scatter felt real too. Upgrading was fun, especially buying the Allies to help, but I feel like the curve at which you got money felt a bit off. I started out being able to buy maybe 1 or 2 upgrades (which felt good to start) but then after the next wave I had so much money I could buy whatever I wanted, so I felt like I just spammed upgrades. If there was less of a jump you'd have to be more selective with the good choices you offered. But great job! And also the music and SFX were a great touch. Congrats on a great job!

Great game! The screen shake for every shot makes it so much more epic! Graphics and Audio are nice! I was only really disappointed, that I got all that money in the last wave, spent it and couldn't try it out :c
Good job though!

This was really fun :D
Something like an "endless waves" mode would have been a nice addition, but depending on how you spawned the enemies that would have probably been a bit much for a game jam.
