made by SkelleRoznik for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

This is a mini game about saving a cat fallen to the pit with spikes and ... flying hearts? Your goal is to get this cute thing to the top of the pit.

You control the origin of the rope with your mouse. It can move left and right. You can go faster by holding a left mouse button.

It's a cool game, really like the music, though it doesnt fit the game for me?

Idea is very good but graphics should be improve. It is normal because there was a two days limit. But game is good.

Great game! :D
I'd say this game could become a fun mobile game. Also maybe consider increasing the invincibility time, there where some times I lose multiple lives because of one spike :/

Cool game. I found it pretty challenging. Nice sound design and concept.

The controls are cool, I like the way the rope swings. However, it would feel better if you had more invulnerability after losing a life. As it is, you can lose all of your lives in around a second just by getting stuck on the wall.

It's simple, but fun. For this type of game I would imagine the music and overall mood to be more positive/cheering. I mean I like the dark mood, so that's a good one for me. Also I would personally add (but it is okay the way you did it) something like a score-meter how far you were able to get. Something like flappy bird but upwards.

Nice little game! I like the changes of environment that really pushes you to swing the cat sometimes. Gameplay would be smoother if you'll have some "safe" delay when got hit to prevent several hits in a row in no time.

@ashtheevil Thanks for your reply! Yep, the game really needs some invulnerability time after losing a life.

Wow, I never imagined a kitty wouldn't like getting poked by spikes! But that cute little guy kept me entertained than I thought. I thought i'd only play for 30 seconds at first glance, but actually spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to get higher. Art could be better but still cute, and the concept is super fun! Good job bro

The background music made me feel like i was in the belly of some kind of gigant. With really acute bowel problems. Great game, albeit a bit slow. Maybe increase the speed when holding down a mouse button?

more challenging than it would seem at first, but still pretty cool concept and well aligned with the theme <3

That was really fun, and the bassline is a jam. Did not even realise I had been playing for 10 minutes...
I think the difficulty could have increased a little faster, but still a lot of fun! Very curious how you generated the map - if you had to make the whole pit, or if there is any randomness; seems like that could make it feasible to scale to much larger/infinite maps!

@forgeronstudio I made the level manually, actually. I thought of procedural generation at first but then I realized it wouldn't fit to the scope of a 3 day game. Thanks for a comment btw, glad you liked it!

This cat does *NOT* have 9 lives, so I needed every last one of the tree lives I was given. I didn't have much trouble besides getting jipped by an extra life in the second stage. I really like the idea and think the execution was well done - seems like you suceeded on doing what you set out to do!
