Really cool, stylish piece of work. The music gels perfectly with the pop-art visuals. I also love the font. I find the actual mechanism of shooting a bit opaque, perhaps a click down when pulling back to charge to separate the two states, plus a sound effect would help. Otherwise super!

This is really neat. The concept is simple, but it creates a fun experience. The mouse controls and simple graphics also work well for it.

@owl-skip thanks for kind words.
And yes, when another person was playing the game, I realized that shooting mechanics looked good in my head and not obvious in the game. :disappointed:

fun game! squares move too fast and erratically, I felt like I always killed them by chance. Shooting mechanic was interesting

@jonahsenzel Squares always try to stay behind you in safe zone, so yes, they designed to be hard killing.
Thanks your comment, it great to know what players feels about your game.

It feels like a nice arcade-style game!

The gameplay is simple, but it really makes it fun, as you can jump into the game and play it without needs for any tutorial, it's really intuitive!

The graphics are very minimalistics, as there only are shapes, but the colors that you chose make it all look appealing (which is nice, because a poor color choice with graphics made out of shapes like these would have made the game look less good)

The music and sounds effects fit in well, and the music is very catchy and not distracting!

Overall, I really like it!

the concept is similar to the one I wanted to do with my entry (than it become something very different..)
This is simple, original and very immediate. Perfect for mobile, you should do a mobile version

Really fun game! Everything contributes to the atmosphere really well. Maybe also add a score indicator so players will know how well they're doing? :)

Well this was.. innovative. I didn't particularly care for the unusual controls which I found to be very awkward and clunky to use, but there's an interesting concept in this entry. I think what this needs is a different way to charge up the attack rather than dragging away with the mouse, perhaps simply click and hold to charge and release to shoot would work better, especially as what you have now seems to conflict with the movement of simply turning in the right direction. Otherwise I liked the music and this has a nice minimal aesthetic.

The aesthesics of this game is soo good. Realy, really enjoyed how every sound effect was musical and how the music itself fit the game. The whole idea is pretty original too. Great work!

If you keep the pointer far away from the dot, it auto-fires, not sure if that was intended. Moving the cursor out of the window stops tracking, this game should really be played in full-screen. once I had four enemies coming from four directions, it was impossible to not get hit 3 times then!

Sounds are great. Graphics are simple but effective, the visual cues were effective.

@shaolin-dave yeah, it's really big problem with cursor out of window. I will avoid this problem next time.
About auto fire: I designed it as it works, but I see in comments that it not good.

Thanks for your feedback!

Thats an interesting mechanic for an arcade game. But it really needs a fullscreen mode, mouse constantly goes away from the window.

117! I found this to be surprisingly fun, although simple. That shooting sound effect! Dat bass! It was fun. I did find it a bit janky, in a way, to control the shield thingy, especially when my cursor went out of the window, and I also saw no reason to not use the gun at the same time as the shield. Maybe disable the shield when you shoot with the gun?

Challenging and fun game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/fsg5gDaiyQc
