Oh no, you fell down a bottomless pit!
Thankfully, there's a prosperous town of people living in this city! They will help you out of this endless hole if you give them a helping hand as well.

How to play
- Move with the mouse.
- Left click (or press X) to interact with objects.
- Right click (or press Z) to throw away an item you don't want.
- Press Space to open the shop.
- After unlocking diving, scroll down (or press S) to fall faster.
- After unlocking gliding, scroll up (or press W) to fall slower.
- Press ESC or Enter to pause the game and review the controls.

Tips and tricks
- I recommend you do the Lab's quests as soon as you can.
- Remember to increase your steering by giving apples to the lab.
- If you unlock gliding, you can get seeds at the shop and plant them in the farm without having to loop over.

This is my first time doing all the music and sounds by myself! Please rate them in the comments. - Game made with Godot. - Graphics made with Krita. - Music made with Bandlab. - Sounds made with Beepbox.
I hope you appreciate the gif, it took way too long to optimize to reduce the file size. xd

I really liked Gertrude and Zelda's quests.
good job. fun game!
Maybe the inventory could have been implemented better, now it is easy to press the wrong button and throw away a lot of time xD
Glad you finished it and it is really innovative and a good interpretation of the theme.
I really like the design of the quests and the character. Even though it is very obvious what you need to do, the game still surprised me with what is possible.
Good work and thanks for the game !
This game is pretty good actually. I played it for a short time and I can see good potential in the game. Plenty of things that I liked, let's go through the positives:]
1) You have a very distinct art direction here and it works alongside your happy-go-lucky music! It may look very simply but I think it's pretty good for what it does, a pretty funny game.
2) A pretty good innovation of the theme if I do say so myself. Basically falling into the bottomless pit and people live down there for some reason.
If I have any qualms, it would be:
1) A better tutorial would really smoothen your experience better. A wall of text is not always the best way to introduce the entire game on.
But otherwise, I quite like the game!
The game is fine. Really love the music, listening while playing feel very comfortable.
The art need more animations for the main character, like animation when you glide or finish a quest. It will more lively.
I also think that player can't pick up new item if he already has one in the inventory. I throw away a lot of seeds because of not knowing that.
Anyway, good job with the entry
- Oh wow I'm falling fast
- There's a lot of stuff here
- It's hard to interact with people and I'm not sure how the quest system works
- My confusion combined with the fast nature of the game makes me slightly frustrated
- Oh okay I can upgrade my steering with apples
- Now I get the quest system, and the shop
- I have now adjusted to the speed and interacting with people
- Hah, I love how you combine different ingredients to make
- At this point I understand the game and my frustration is replaced with fun
And that's basically where I started to pick up on the huge charm this game has. First of all, I love the concept. The sprite work combined with the music makes it feel really jumpy and cheery, each piece fits together and creates a cohesive mood.
I like that there's always something to pick up when falling, makes each section much less tedious, you always have something to do. When I got the dive and slow down upgrades the game also felt less hard to control, missing things didn't happen as frequently, and if I did miss something I could just dive through the whole loop. The characters are fun, I like the old ladies
I admire how you didn't just add different NPCs, but added a farm, a mixer, water that you could actually fill a glass with, a variety of mechanics! The loop freeze request was so weird it was humorous, which I think was intentional based on the dialogue. The puzzle elements were simple but felt rewarding when you figured something out - for example coloring yourself green and mixing an apple with a glass of water. The apples and glass of water are used in other quests as well; the fact that the same objects have more than one interaction makes the world feel more alive.
The dive and slow down mechanics might have been better to start off with since they did help navigating and made these unique controls easier to deal with, but then the reward of unlocking them would be gone, so I'm not sure if the tradeoff is worth it, just a thought.
All in all, I'm giving this game high scores all around, it's clear that you put a lot of effort into it, and I had a fun time! Definitely hit me up if you keep working on it!
Pretty chill with the fact that there's no loop limit or something. You said that there are 10 quests and 10 pieces but I was able to complete the warp thing without completing all of the quests (I didn't do the "stop the loop counter" one. I discarded quests a couple times including that one.
The game originally had the dive and glide unlocked from the start, but it felt like there wasn't enough progression in the game. I added them as rewards instead, and made some quests dependent on you having the dive, like the loop counter quest, so the player doesn't feel like they have to loop around 10 times so slowly. I think it was a good trade-off but now I think the lab quests could have been the first ones, kind of like a tutorial, so you don't think the default falling speed is as fast as you can go.
Also... you didn't do all the quests? That's not good, I thought I tested the quest discarding system well. Do you have any more details you can give? I'll try to reproduce it.
As I was on my way to completing a quest (the last one I did) I noticed the warp thing was missing one piece and the counter guy still had an envelope so I thought, "huh, so you don't have to do them all".
When completing quests, I also spammed the click because I didn't want to miss hitting them.
That's all I can think of.
I loved the main mechanic. Not having control on your fall set up a hectic rythm that is pretty satisfying when you get the hang of it.
I liked the simple graphics, even if some stuff where unclear to me at first, such as the farm or the loop parts you get when completing tasks.
I liked the music, energetic enough without getting on your nerves too fast. Other sounds were ok.
I really enjoyed the first 10 loops or so when I was trying many different stuff and understanding the game more and more. What I didn't enjoy was making a chocolate cake, and here is why in my opinion:
I loved to do trials and errors, and the expensive costs in the shop did not really allow for that. For example, I tried mixing chocolate seeds directly with cake stuff, and it didn't work. I instantly remembered the farm and thought "oh yes I have to grow chocolate first!". That was nice, but then I had to do 5 or so boring loops to gather the money for seeds, then 3 to grow seeds, then a few more to get cake stuff again.
Also, during all those loops, I was stuck in this quest, and did not want to drop it in fear of having to do it all over again. I would love it if you could have multiple quests at a time so you feel like you always do something.
Thanks for the game I had fun, keep up the good work 💕
The thing with this kind of 'timing'-based gameplay is that I was quickly overwhelmed by what was happening, there was a bunch of text on screen, I'd apparently passed a shop already, and now I have a quest I need to read while falling? I didn't actually realize yet that the whole thing looped (guess I should've, because that's the theme) and this made it feel a bit more stressful at first than you probably intended.
Well done mate, the art and humor as well very nice.
Maybe the player should fall slower or have a way to slow down ? (dive/plane)
It as a bit hard to guess/remember the next level, but that may be by choice.
Graphics were great, the writing was fun, this concept is funny, but I think the music wins out as the thing I enjoyed the most.
Overall, the game left me with a big smile on my face

I enjoy playing games with ridiculous premises, but this one takes the cake. An endless looping hole that has a quest system, farming and such? It was insane and I loved it for it! It's so bizarre, and yet, can't help but jiggle at things like that quest that's just about two ladies sending messages to each other.
Things like changing colors and feeding the apples were great touches too. I'm impressed by this games' depth (no pun intended). It's fantastic! :whale:
Hi guys, thank you all so much for taking the time to play my game and give feedback! I want to apologize for not doing the same to your games, as I usually do, schoolwork got tight around the time you commented so I couldn't spare much time to play games for the jam. I hope you understand. :/ You are all so kind!
