It's a fun mechanic of course, and I enjoy the workplace typing vibe that is given off. I think the managers are a bit too OP, I couldn't find a way to avoid them once I was spotted.

Great idea though, I would love a free play mode where different objects react differently when thrown!

when I run the try to run the exe my windows says no so I am not giving it a go.

Interesting idea for a game! The graphics and level were awesome but I felt like the game was broken, there didnt seem to be much to do besides throwing items around

@jag The game might need more explanations. You need to make colleagues quit their job by throwing stuff at them ! At the end of the week you will have a summary of your performance

it was too heavy for my pc or it was very not optimized , i guess if there was just somthing to lower resoloution or quality or maybe removing thing player cant see can help , idk.

@mohmehdi Sorry, we tried to optimize as much as we could. maybe we overdid a bit too much with the small objects :(

@benslaney We had this intention of a stealth game where you have to hide to commit your mischiefs, so we made the managers hard to escape :) It could have worked the other way though, throw then hide.

@kingofnova Windows says that to a lot of Unity games the first time. You have the option for executing the exe nevertheless

pretty good overall...pretty slow, could use some optimization. This was my first gamejam so not too sure but good job

The idea is quite fun but I had a bug in which I was only able to move backwards and couldn't control my character as I liked. Neat Idea tho.

Thanks @xenobey ! Try to change between WASD and ZQSD you may have the wrong setting selected ;)

Hilarious. Let me kill the managers tho, even if it takes multiple hits. Escaping them is basically impossible and because restarting doesn't seem to always reset them some days just end immediately.

It's a vert cute concept :)

The managers end up being a bit too much a damper on the fun in the long run, but the game is definitely a mood.

Cool idea and would love to see it taken further! Performance is a big issue though, likely too many active objects at once, anything that isn't moving shouldn't be processing physics.

06. Oct 2020 · 11:07 UTC
@snazghoul We actually didn't even though about killing the managers. Either of that or the too hard escaping need to be tweaked to make them less OP I think. We like challenges here, but at the cost of accessibility unfortunately

@shortbread thanks ! We also would like to see it taken further, we keep that idea somewhere in our mind :)
Concerning the performances, we already optimized the processing of physical objects. The bottleneck comes from the geometry that we didn't succeed to reduce it enough. Too many polygons, it may seem laggy on some machines but i can tell you that it was way worse at first :D

I love this game! The sound effects and music were perfect  Unfortunately my laptop can't run it very fast (but that's on me, lol).

Thanks @noah-kuhn and @amin-jk000 , but if the game is laggy it's because of us, we underestimated the number of polygons of all the small physical objects. We are so sorry about this !

Man, the isntant I started up this game I got Budget Cuts vibes and I loved it. The robots, the jazzy sound effects, the office setting. Awesome guys! I didn't do too well but I enjoyed the playthrough :) It was hilarious to see my coworkers fly across the workfloor!

A little disappointed that hiding after being caught was not a thing. Made it a lot harder than I expected. I managed to kill about half of the employees after a few practice runs. Overall it was pretty innovative and is easy to relate to. Really fostered my disdain for upper management.

@euix @kevin-mooney hey, thanks for your feedbacks :) it's actually a thing, to hide from the managers. You can do it but it's quite difficult to do and I admit I didn't succeed since a long time :D
We should have tweaked this to make it easier ! We keep that in mind ;)

Oh man so many props to use! I can't exactly figure out what constitutes as sus for the managers but they seem to be onto me very quickly. Best I got was 20 people remaining haha.

Would be a pretty cool VR game I think.

@moffkalast Thanks ! The managers suspect a lot employees crouching in the office and waving items in front of them (you know, a post-it note can be a deadly weapon in the wrong hands). But the absolute rule is to never throw office supplies at your coworkers :D
They have a large detection cone so it might be the why they are into you even if you are at the opposite of the office

Very fun. The sound design was top tier. I did wish that the managers were more clearly different as I sometimes had trouble telling them apart. I figured out where they were eventually but more than once I hit one only for it to be a manager. Definitely one of the funnest games of the jam I've played so far though. I had almost as much fun banning random items, like chairs and monitors, and seeing how the environment changed to compensate. The boxes and the paper taped to the wall replacements were hilarious.

That was fun and satisfying, but for some reason I could only walk backwards. Is "walking forward" also prohibited in this office?^^

08. Oct 2020 · 10:45 UTC
@ancient-pixel god, you didn't think about walking forward in the office, did you ?!

Actually, as stated before, it is not a bug but more a feature maybe slightly misplaced ! It's a problem not common for non english speaking people as they usually have the common QWERTY keyboard, but as French people, we have a hard time with all the games that don't have any support for AZERTY keyboard, so we added one ! (also, it was easier for us to debug the game :D)
The option is on the keyboard on your office, and it seems that you can switch between the two of them by accident.
The default setting is QWERTY, so you don't have to think about that normally, but we might have to rethink about the keyboard or the option location :)

It was a little unclear to me how I interacted with the managers, and I would have liked to take them out when their backs when turned. I hate those guys the most! It seems like once they spot me the end of my day is inevitable. At first I didn't realize that I was playing out different days and not reloading the same level.

So much fun! Take THAT Robot Kyle, you crappy co-worker! Great humor and use of the theme; calling work being "stuck in a loop" seems cynical but apt. I don't even work in an office yet I found this game to be extremely cathartic. The audio fits the mood perfectly, and I loved that sound (trumpet?) when you hit a co-worker! Great job!

I'm getting a pretty big "Job Simulator" vibe with this, which is cool. I liked the low poly look of the environment, but feel the other employees didn't match the aesthetic as much. Overall, very cathartic and well done.

Super cool! If it ran smoother I would have probably played a lot longer but it was still fun to throw stuff at colleagues! The managers are actually pretty scary, I didn't realize how quick they are. The first time I tried running away and turned around and saw one right behind me I got a fright.
