changelog:

  • v1.2: Fixed broken fullscreen mode

Known bugs: - After completing a level, the "Play again" button doesn't always work and you will have to reload the game to play again...

Protect the forests from the wildfire!

TIP

  • Start by playing a 3x3 level to learn how the game works!
  • As long as you have Action Points left, you can move! Just select the raincloud and then the tile you want to move to.

HOW TO PLAY

  • Move the raincloud around by selecting it and clicking on a highlighted tile to move.

  • Move the cloud to water tiles to absorb water using the "DRAIN" ability. You can store rain like this up to 3 times before you need to release it!

  • Move to tiles on fire and use the "RAIN" ability to put out fires.

  • Move to grass or forest tiles and use the "RAIN" ability to make them resistant to fire.

Again and again I don't understand the gameplay. A bit more explanation would help. This is a problem we all struggle with, because we ourselves have a clear view on the games idea, but from the outside it seems a bit peculiar. Love the artstyle though, isometric art is always good! The music could be a bit longer as the quick loop anoys me a bit over time. But it really is very moody and i overall i really like it. Thumbs up for the graphics. And it fits the theme perfectly. I always like exploring the many ideas peole come up with to interpret the theme.
Edit: I gave it another go and this time it worked, now the gameplay is clear! Just didn't get the controls at the first time!

I really like the simple and clear art style, which really complements the calm atmosphere of the game. I also think that playing as a cloud is a really creative idea which works well. Nice job!

Make me think of "Into the breach" for the look. Great graphics and atmosphere !

This is well done! The art looks great, the UI is responsive and clear, and the music is very chill. Pretty easy to get into an unwinnable situation on the larger boards, but I guess that’s life. Nice work.

Cool concept and idea, really liked the strategy element put into it and the simplicity. I would love to see more elements being added to increase dificulty such as animal life forms running away from the fire. Great game!

Really nice idea. Graphics and sound are good, too. I would only like to point out, that randomizing every level makes the difficulty highly unpredictable. The one 7x7 Map i played hat a 3 tile wide pond with the fire behind it.
It took me maybe 3 turns to finish that level. However making randomization work in the first place is quite the achievement in my opinion.
Good luck in the voting, Ugghmaster from @WeAreDev

Very good! Graphics and sounds make a nice combination. Reminds me of some board games, but without having to burn or water down the livingroom.

This game had the best soundtrack of all the games i've played so far. I could zone out to that track for daaaaays. It took me a minute to figure out how to play my turns but my friend pointed out how to beat the puzzle. I felt like an idiot, but once he pointed it out suddenly it was all clear and I realized that draining the water and saving up for the next turn was a great strategy. Anyway, i'm rambling, this game is really cool and i liked it a lot. Thanks, Nice job! !

Nice job! I do not see any issues with this game, it plays really well.

The only minor thing is hard to tell the difference between watered forest/grass cell and dry one.

Here is my playthrough:

Cool idea and really neat graphics.

The controls for raining and could be improved a bit. Perhaps use right mouse button or double click to rain/drain when over fire/water.

Love the idea and the neat, relaxing art style. Would be more fun if more elems added into the game.

This the best game I've played so far! I really like the graphics and sounds as well as the music. I only have one piece of criticism: At first it was very unclear that you had to click on the tile your cloud was on in order to move around. Overall great game!

This was a very satisfying game for me. I played 3 times and had fun each time. Simple but very efficient gameplay. Loved the art too. Good work!

I had trouble understanding the use of more than 3 action points: if you're only allowed to move once per turn, what can the 4th AP do for you?

Cool minimalist art style and a nice concept for the theme!

@caeonosphere thanks for playing! You can move as many times as you have action points. Just click on the cloud to select it, and then click on the tile you want to move to! I know this is not really clear in-game though...

Really nice game ! I liked the fact that we have to protect a forest from fire !
Moreover, I liked a lot the animations, graphics art style, the sound design, and the gameplay !
To stay on the gameplay, I think that it is quite smooth and easy to learn & understand & play.

So overall well done for your work !

Amazing game! I could see my self playing this on my phone for hours. I really loved thinking about every step, the game felt very strategic and fun! Would love more mechanics of course and more visual feedback when I do any action.
Very well done game Cute art and great music!

Pretty nice little game. I love how you handle overall theme with tiny cloud as a protagonist. Very clever design! 3x3 grid is unbalanced cause I always win at the first turn. Nevertheless, great job!

This was not like anything I have played before this Jam. I really enjoyed this little game. It's very calming and the music, while being a bit short (and it could loop better), contributed to that. The design and the UI were on point and I never felt information was lacking or hard to interpret. I found the game not very challenging - maybe I just good RNG - but I don't think it was designed to be that challenging. Overall I think you did an amazing job at making a cute relaxing game.

Cool game, nice music, well polished and delivered. It was nice to see the different level sizes and the ability to randomly generate levels so you could play. Maybe a few different environmental things such as barren mountains or say houses for a little variety. I think with additional work this could make a great little game to play.
