LO2OP by MrWahloh
Our first ever Ludum Dare entry is here, LO2OP!
In this game you are a brave little blood cell with one simple task: transport oxygen to body parts that need it the most and make sure the body stays vital.
- Select the most effective route with the arrow-keys.
- Take oxygen from the lungs, and give it to the organs with the spacebar.
- Repair wounds with the R-key.
The game is playable in the browser, just follow the link to Itch.io down below. There's also a Windows build available as download on the Itch.io page.
Our interpretation of the "Stuck in a loop" theme was flipped, instead of trying to get out of the loop we want our blood cells to stay inside of the loop so that it can keep your body vital.
Ofcourse with every GameJam you'll end up scrapping or simplifying features to make it within the deadline. We ended up scrapping and simplifying stuff like the wounds, these were supposed to cost oxygen to repair, and statistics like Vitality and Blood, which were supposed to add some more depth to the way you'd end the game. Oh, and we all apologize for the horrific code, it is definitely not our proudest work.

The game has a lot of information to tell the player and it is very clear which organ needs oxygen NOW!
The only problem is that the wounds are not that noticeable, and their impact on the organ health is unclear.
But it is fun and intense!
The graphic seems out of a real game, not a gamejam game. Well Done!

Its the first game I rated at 100%
