The dimension-shifting with the teleporter is a nice idea.
But I enjoyed the beginning anyway, the controls are really smooth, the music is cool and so are the graphics
With the fatal error bug fixed it will be a really good game to play
I agree with the others that maybe at least two hp, to allow for one error, would be more user-friendly. Although I think it's also fine as it is - after all, what kind of scientist survives walking into a mine. But maybe introduction of some armor/shield item that you could find and that would allow you to survive a hit would work.
Nice graphics and I liked the concept overall. Teleporting between areas and seeing what changed after the lab accident was very nice.
I didn't experience the fatal error at all.
As a sidenote : i don't really understand how the doors works. You move between past and future. If you open the door in the past yeah i understand how it makes the door also stay open in the future. But if you open it in the future why all of the sudden does it also open in the past?
Overall really nice game and like it, but i think the death should be a little bit more forgiving.
Game crashed for me first time I died from mine, then when I tried to start it again, it crashed again. But after that there was no issues, no crashes. Not sure what could be the issue.
There's a bit of backtracking and invisible mines are a bit unexpected. Not sure what could be done about that though.
Would love to see more from you. Cheers!
I did find the one hit death was a bit frustrating - I wouldn't mind it if there was checkpoints, but having to do the same thing again became a bit much. Apart from that, I really enjoyed it! Great work.
(I got the fatal error twice but after restarting a third time it worked no issue.)
One strange thing that I encountered is that launching the game also launches Steam VR on my computer, I wonder why
I wish dying just brought you back to the time machine, rather than resetting all progress. No one needs to be tested again and again and again on the same puzzles. Especially after entering the blue-key area, and then dying to an invisible land mine. So yeah, be a little more "forgiving" as other have suggested.
Audio is probably being overlooked, but I think it was good audio, sets the mood and nothing seemed out of place or overpowered.
Visuals were decent.
Good job overall!
respawned I guess but it was not very innovative. Graphics and sound effects were nice enough. Overall I feel like the game is lacking a real selling point.
I guess without the frustrating restart it would jst be an ok game. It could also be because I did not get very far so I didn't really see the interesting bit.
The game also crashed at one point when I died, this not a critique but just letting you know so you can fix it.
