Stuck in a Portal by Dr_V
You play as a floating ball stuck in some kind of world. You have a portal which can take you to other worlds with resources that you can bring back and upgrade to send you to better and better worlds. You can control the power of the portal on the top right with the slider (use arrow keys for fine control), and when your batteries fill up to the corresponding amount you can portal to it - but you will need more batteries and power to go to better worlds.
Controls: WASD + space for jump. Click around the gas thing to poke the ground. E is a shortcut for triggering portal.
Notes: - You can jump in the air (you are a gas ball thing after all). - There is a limit on how many resources you can carry in the spawned worlds - see weight in the bottom left - Sometimes you can get really unlucky and spawn a world with no resources - this is rare but it happens - Currently you can build buildings over other buildings, destroy buildings etc. This is purely visual and has no effect on gameplay - Unity has UI interaction with keyboard controls, this can be annoying as after buying stuff or clicking on stuff it will sometimes get set off by space - click away to be sure. - You can cheat with 1-6 spawning corresponding resources if you want to skip stuff.

Although, personally I think that the "overworld" is not that necessary.
The graphics are nice and the idea is fantastic.
I know it's hard make things like that in such a short time, however, if you want to improve to a post LD game, here's some of my sugestions:
-Create an "in game" tutorial;
-Be careful with the camera limits, sometimes we can see the blue Unity background before the generation of new tiles and through the "main world" walls;
-I think it's kinda obvious but, waaay more visual appeal (that's not really an issue, but something to think aboyt);
-Set more specific goals;
But dude, nice game you have there!
I agree with ProbeProb about the overworld being unnecessary. It confused me because I didn't realize that the white circle was a portal, so I was just digging around the base area aimlessly hoping to find something. Maybe instead of an overworld, you could have a base with a finite amount of space, and then just have expansions available as an upgrade.
your sprites is a bit blurry i think you should change their filter mode to point as shown in this video

I hope that helps
@jonathanfdr thanks for the feedback, I'm compiling a list of things I can expand upon for the post LD version so your feedback is appreciated.
@dadiaogames this is not really in the spirit of the rating system and I would suggest you simply move on without rating instead of giving a rating without playing.
@ale thanks - it was pretty ambitious and ended up taking too long giving little time for polish. Agree the art around the portal has confused a number of people - would have liked to take more time to polish some of it. I like your limited space idea.
@omar-14 thanks for the tip - I'll be sure to implement it later.
Improve on graphics department would be cool, otherwise very good entry! Good job!
@sunnray I dont know why I didnt just think of that and instead wasted time developing the torturous jumping mechanic. Ah well.
@drsmey thanks - agree on start
@mark-kelly thanks!
@listonos yep agreed, will focus next time on tailoring it towards the audience properly
@mikoziq I suspect that is likely to do the keyboard interacting with the UI, would have loved to fix it in time.
Had a few bugs that were annoying but not game-breaking - occasionally I'd press E to go from my base into the portal, but then immediately warp back to my base with 0 power (just had to wait for it to refill again). Would have *really* liked some feedback on when my inventory was full, I think I was often scrambling to mine a couple more blocks when I was actually long-since full. Sound of course would have helped that, but some text in the middle about "inventory full" when you fail to pick something up would have been really nice.
One last note: I always write down honest review, because everybody need that, not just nice craps with some bullshit, but sometime I will aperceite very good games. So if this review insult you, but use it well :) Anyway every game is counting so :)
