The Jam - report:

This game, Patty and the cannon, is the first public release by me. Its made by using the Construct 3 -platform.

First game idea i developed was about the global warming, where the idea was to destroy the polluting facilities with a tractor or other to save keep the earth alive. The original concept was too large to create - it was more like an adventure concept than an arcade game.

On the next day, while i was getting frustrated about the project was too difficulty create in this short time, while creating the clouds orbiting the round planet, the grey clouds were accidentally orbiting the ground of the planet, so i got the idea about the game, where you hide from the creepy monsters and watch out you wounded horse, the only escape plan you have, to get eaten by the monsters. There was problems to work out with the ready assets made by the Scirra, so i stressed out.

On the last day (Monday) of the Jam, i have too few time left to create original concepts. I decide to create something small and fast. I had the vision about the game, where cannon-like object(s) were shooting at the object, which player should protect.

The final game, "Patty & the Cannon", is made in around 6-8 hours on the last day before dead line. I learn many things while making the projects and the real deadline kept me motivated all the time. I don't know which is more interesting: see what other people are made (thousands of games, that is really epic thing!) or see how other people, the developers, likes your game.

My game is made from the scratches, but i'm still proud of it. I hope while you play the game and after you write your comment, you'll read others comments too - that's how we create interesting discussions about the games.
