The squirrels HP is persistent over the levels, whatever health it has when you complete a level is what it starts with on the next level, make sure to grab medkits to keep the squirrel alive. When you die in a level or restart it, the squirrels HP gets reset to what it was when the level was first started.

In love with Squirrels! Could't resist but helping out and keep it alive! Well done nice job. I woud also suggest to maybe maybe reduce the jump hight! Just an opinion.

The music is very nice, and I did have a lot of fun! But on the second level, I died instantly and kept dying instantly whenever I restarted. Overall, though, it's a nice little game. The platforming is nice and it uses the theme in a very nice way. Good job. :)

Love the JS approach, really good collision and physics given that you built most of that yourself. I like the difficulty, but I'd make sure that the squirrel health is consistent. I saw it skipping around on level restarts and I'm not sure if that's intentional.

thanks for the feedback!
@brenno263 it is, when restarting the level the squirrels HP gets reset to what is was when the level was first started
@dane-ziggler you probably took too long on the first level and the squirrels HP got too low, other people also had that issue, I'll have to think about how to communicate better that the squirrels HP is persistent over the levels

This game is so cute! I don't know why the squirrel is so large, but I love it! The sound effects and art is amazing! Excellent job!

Game looks cool. Idea with saving squirrel is brilliant but imo jump height without squirrel is too big.

Really fun little puzzle platformer. Only major thing that I could think of for improvement would be more mechanics and levels. Although with the persistant health you don't really want too many levels, so maybe it could be broken up into worlds with a different squirrel in each one.
Other than that, it just needs polishing.

Fun game! I love the the art. The game is very intuitive. Why does the squirrel look like a bunny and is as large as a cow (Compared to the squirrel saver)? Good job keep it up!

Nice game, the platforming mechanics were quite sharp so that didn't give me any problems, I got confused a bit with the controls for picking up and using but learned it after 2nd or 3rd level. Good amount of content for a compo game!

Game has great art. I like that it has so many levels, I didn't really expect that.
I do kinda feel it looks like the leaves decay to fast (the visual don't really match the hitbox).
Fun Game!

Nice and arty. I had I little hard time with the controls, for some reason I wanted to press W to jump which made it quite difficult for me. :-) but I did had a great time playing! good job!

Nice game! I initially thought the game was completely broken, but it was because of my high refresh rate monitor. Setting it to 60Hz fixed all the issues :)

Cool game. Smooth gameplay. Like the graphics and sound/music. Jumps a little high and the squirrel's health decreasing fast( couldn't manage the second level ). Nice entry...Congrats..

thanks for the feedback everyone!

@icch-howw broken in what way? I'm curious, I don't have a high refresh monitor so I cannot try it myself, I am using delta time for all of my code, so refresh rate shouldn't affect anything, but maybe there is something I can change to make it work on high refresh monitors

nice game and nice music. One little note, when restarting a level (button "o") the health doesn't reset. I don't think that should be the case right?

@douwe-ravers oh, you're right, I had fixed it for the restart game function, but forgot the restart level function, thank you

@likirus my jumps were extremely high and it seemed the gravity was also too high, I couldn't even jump the gap in the second level after the spikes

On the first level I thought that the physics are a bit weird and game and level design are a bit too simplistic.
On the third level I got used to the physics and thought that the game and level design are not so bad actually.
On the tenth level I became fully addicted to the game and thought that game and level design are amazing and you have to be a genius to come up with all these puzzle levels in such a short period of time!
Really impressive piece of work. Art, sound and music fit very well and I'm really amazed thinking how you managed to put it all together in just 48 hours. Tremendous job, I enjoyed playing it a lot!

That little squirrel's scream will haunt my dreams (I dropped him a lot sometimes by accident). GG

The puzzles in this game were enjoyable! I had a hard time spotting the first pressure plate. The re-growing leaf blocks were also a nice mechanic.

Maybe it's something wrong in firefox, but at level 1 nothing is happening even if I reach the green flag at the right side :(

@mudlee did you have the squirrel with you? you need to carry the squirrel through all the levels and to the vet, but now that you mention it, I probably should have added a popup that tells the player to get the squirrel if he gets to the end without it.

@mudlee O.o how? I literally have no idea how that could happen, it can't really be a general image loading problem, because there are a few images, but for some reason not all... which browser do you use? can you do me a favor and press CTRL + SHIFT + i and see whether it shows any errors?

@likirus O shit yes. In chrome there he is... so in Firefox it does not work, let me play it today before the voting end
