Hey there! nice attempt and especially great job for making such an ambitions projects with animations, graphics, combat logic etc.! I really think though that the game could be a lot more fun if you try to reduce the scope of the game and try to make the gameplay feel more satisfying. So maybe dont try to make a 3d game with combat in a game jam as it will just take too long until it feels god.

I dont know if it was only me, but for the game to start it took a century after I clicked on "start game", the mechanics are very clunky, for example movement is weird some times and the jump sometimes just goes waaaaay up high and kinda blends all around. The attacking felt weird because of the collision and distance, also I could kill carrots just by being next to them... There was also very few like game markers on what was happening, as per sound and so on... what I do have to say was great was the graphics, the character and carrots are really nice, I did like how they all looked. It was a nice game, you guys should be proud of it, it just needs some tuning...

Couldn't find any hostile food =(
Good idea for the theme! With some extra work it will be an awesome game!
Keep on!

I love food models (especially in the screenshot) but didn't find the game engaging enough to keep playing. The carrots ran to the edge and I fell off the world a few times. Looks like you had a lot of content but unfortunately I didn't get to see it all, perhaps you would have been better off spending more time on the first section of content?

Hey congrats on finishing the game! Love the AI for the carrots!

Good job with finishing! It happened to me that I fell off the island multiple times, but there was no way how to restart the level without turning the game on and off (just a scene reload on exit would be enough). I liked how the carrots ran away from me and that I didn't even need to swing to damage them. The movement was also fun.

@macdoom @homunculusgames Hey thanks for playing!

@remus-rain Thanks for playing! Yeah scope is definitely something that I have to keep in mind next time, we have so much plan for the game but the execution is not good. Thanks for the advice!

@krebzor Thanks for playing! We pretty much ran out of time to do some tuning, so we just went with it.

@frankie-hobbins @banzi Thanks for playing! Yeah sorry about the fell off the world bug.

Hi, first of all the game took a lot of time to start and when it did i fell of the boundary!:)

The concept is nice but i feel the mechanics could have been better.

First issue: I can walk on water, second issue: I jump out of the world and I didn't come back. third issue. When I am walking cross character not facing cross. But I love the animations.

Concept was cool but the mechanics were clunky. Definitely agree with people saying to lower the scope of the game as it was a pretty big! Good going though :)

Having veggies as enemies made my day haha! Yes it took a while until the game started but I had a really great time playing! Congrats on that and good luck.

Pretty cool game, however the phisics are broken, i sometimes got launched off the map after killing a carrot. i often clip in the bridges too.

I like your animations and veggies is really funny and cute (it was too hard to kill them). But I think you need to more concentrate on main game-core to make it playable. I couldn't find any carrots for a long time. After I kill them, they don't update my stats in quest text-box.
Also when the enemies run to the bottom of the tile I can't see them because of mountain.
Good luck with further development! :)

Nice game! I really like the animations! I suggest you allow the player to respawn if they fall of the edge, so that they don't have to restart the game. Good job!

The game idea is okay, but the game feels really unfinished.

I don't think I ever felt so bad about killing vegetables. These poor carrots!
But there's a really strong nostalgia about late 90s shareware games with this, it was a blast to mess around with it. I feel like some ingame popup/tutorial/directions early on would help, when I started I couldn't find any enemy until I passed the 2nd bridge

@ellian Oh Wow I never would've imagined that you would play one of my game, let alone leave a feedback! Thank you so much for this! I love your games and pixel arts, especially Rivals of Aether!
