Astronautical by tater-hater

You take control of a planet-sized Pirate Ship That uses its moons as cannons.
Any questions?
I got really into orbital mechanics as the jam was starting, and tried to introduce them as an interesting game mechanic. all of the objects in the game can interact with the rest with their own gravitational pull. This means that objects can slam into one another, rip away moons, or throw them off their orbits.
Controls/Tutorial
There are 3 moon types: Cannon, Repair, and Energy Production. Cannons and health use energy to operate, and energy production passively increases that. Cannons, shoot, and repair stations can heal your ship if its health is low by pressing 'C'.
F3 to restart
X to fire your Laser Cannons
Game info
- Music was made by me via Rymtik Studio. Sound effects were done with a guitar and Audacity.
- 3D models were made in Google Blocks
- Game made in Unity and used Visual Studio Code to edit (Seriously VS code is way better than Visual Studio)
- other assets made in Gimp

As an addendum to the above: I re-read the description and realize what you were going for. So I tried it again. Unfortunately I did not have a much better experience the second time around. I will say the orbital mechanics is a really cool concept that if developed more could be super epic.

Other than that, I liked it. It has the potential to become a really fun and engaging game. I hope you'll keep working on it. ;)
I like the basic idea. Maybe it was a bit too grand to fit in a 48h jam, though. The mechanics seems overly simple and it has some usability problems that make it a bit hard to understand.
The tips section is hard to notice at first and when you do, you don't know how many tips you missed. Maybe some kind of help menu with all of them visible would be nice.
When you change the target and the camera changes, you could use a cinemachine camera to (quickly) pan/move the camera to point the other target instead of switching instantly. It would be easier to understand what the new point of view is.
I like the models a lot, everything looks great. Music is really good too :)
