Rewind : A companion Cube Experiment by daimadoushi

[raw]
made by daimadoushi for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

This is my very first entry, it was a very fun experience and I will be sure to participate again next time ! Hope you like my work ! Title.PNG

You need to guide one of your cube companion to the exit.

When You control one cube, its moves are recorded.

When you switch to another cube, time rewinds and the move previously recorded are replayed while you move the next cube.

Coordinate the movement of each cube to unlock the exit !!!

(Essentially, once you moved a cube, it is stuck in a loop, repeating the same move over and over again until one can reach the exit.)

Thank you for checking my game out !

Nice puzzle game! The interpretation of the theme was pretty interesting, and the game was well made. Good job!

Fan of the art and texturing. Very well executed!! The controls feel tight and juicy. Really awesome that its your first too!

This is a great entry. I got stuck on level 3 for a little while and had to read the description a couple times but eventually I got through. The levels seem perfectly tuned in terms of jam difficulty. Nice work!

Took a while to understand the mechanics, but this was very clever once I figured it out! A real mindbender.

Great puzzle game. I've seen a little bit too much of these rewind games on the Brackeys jam, but this one is actually engaging, pretty looking, fun to play, and smart. Great job!

I love it! Puzzles are very good! Sometimes when I move the cubes, they don't move :( . But overall it was a great puzzle game.

Nice game and level design. Almost a polished game. All the best to release as full game.

I liked the concept of switching between the cubes and having to "tell" every cube what to do. I found that the difficulty ramped up quite quickly though, but that's fine :D

Is level 5 makable? Cause I can't figure out how to move one of the white cubes :(.

But overall a really cool game. The gameplay had confused me in the beginning but once I read the description everything made sense.

I like this kind of puzzle game and hope you will add some more levels. Having this as a mobile version would be cool!

Didn't work for me on Chrome, but was fine on Firefox (this may have been a problem my end!). Simple execution of the theme resulting in quite complex puzzles! Nice work.

@ursagames Thanks a lot for playing my game, it was very interesting to see you solve the puzzles in real time and gave me very good information of the shortcomings of my presentation. Thank you for the comments as well !

If you do that for other jams, let me know !

@daimadoushi Cheers! I tend to play through games most LDJAMs unless something comes up and I don't have the time for it.
