The first time the lightning sound came gave me a shock.. Maybe I was just dozing a little.
But the mood is pretty cool in this one, the darkness, tentactly background, etc. Could have used a background music track.

Other than that, the platformer seemed pretty unoriginal.

Oh yeah that first lightning was shocking. Literally :D I really enjoyed your game.It is very well made. The art is beautiful. Jumping in platformers is really not easy to get right but your jumping is on the spot. I also liked how the level builds up with enemies and obstacles each time. You can really feel some tension building up. Some minor chords on a piano as a background music would have been a really good fit. Other than that, good job! :)

I appreciate that you decided to expose players to this subject. Art can help us to explore our nature.

Your prototype reminded me a bit about Philophobia game, however I appreciate you didn't make it crazy hard.

I wish you good luck if you decide to explore this topic more with a game.
The only thing I would suggest you is to consider opting out from Humor category.

Good job on the execution. I think you capture the mood very well, especially at the last stage, where the emptiness and loneliness is on point.

I didn't vote in the humor category, and like Meek-bits, I would suggest you opt out of it as well.

Stay safe everyone.

Very artistic. I think you did a fantastic job. The bed though at the end idn't trigger anything...was there something that was supposed to happen? I hope I didn't miss out on a part of it. Great job though!

I liked the idea with running the same level over and over with added enemies, that worked well.
The art was fine but a little small.

I encountered a weird thing when i pressed space I ended up at the bottom of the page so the game got outside of view. Solved this by only viewing the game frame. This made the resolution maybe bigger than intentional.

Played all of it. Good entry :)

It's beautiful, the theme it touches it's so sensitive and well handled, a message of hope for those who are under hard times.

Really strong message that touched me and I am sure plenty of others. Well done on putting something out there which is so honest out there!

Nice art and really tight controls. Very moody! The physics seemed good but the platforming could be a little more forgiving.

I felt like the story was pretty on-the-nose, but it was clear.
The effects were interesting.
The background sound really got to me after a bit.
The controls were alright but just slippery enough that it was really hard for me to finish the levels.

I like the idea, but once the screen was restricted to about 6 pixels of non-darkness, it was unplayable. I understand the metaphor, but gameplay-wise, you could probably go down a different route. I liked the mood though, and the stormy background adds a lot! I sincerely hope you are doing well; I could never imagine being in the headspace to make such a dark game, so I hope everything is well. Really cool entry, I just wish I could've made it to the end.

Great game. Feel we had very similar ideas. The graphics & physics are so well done. Great game with a really nice message at the end.

Nice little game !

- The way I played it to add fun is that I kept the "D" button pressed, transforming the gameplay into jumping on time (which made me think could be a metaphor of depression, when you're dragged by things and doesn't have control).
- I liked the graphical interplay between light/shadow and black/colour.
- The first thunder sound is great but I think the following ones get quite annoying in the long run.
