Maybe I just wasn't getting the strategy, but I found it quite hard to recover after a disaster, because existing things would be in the way.
The music was kinda annoying, I had to turn it off.
One thing I'd probably add is an option to clear a smaller area than just 3x3. Maybe adding an option to also clear a 2x2 square would work (though obviously it would need to be expensive enough to not be overused by the player).
All in all, I had fun playing it. A really nice entry! ;)
I really liked only being able to delete 3x3 areas - the choice of what to delete hurt more than the gold cost, which made it something not to be done lightly.
At times, the famine and drought (especially the famine) seemed really punishing. Definitely took a few goes to realize the strategy isn't just "keep resources steady" but "be ready for a disaster."
Great job!!!
