Loop de Loop by Klaus Peter

[raw]
made by Klaus Peter for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

You don't know who you are or how you got here.
All you know is that you must escape this corridor.

This is easier said than done because sometimes it makes a loop and sometimes not!
By solving all little puzzles you might be able to break free.

You wouldn't be the first one to never escape!

Those don't look like they your support weight for long.

Controls

  • WASD - walking
  • Space - jumping
  • Left Click - interact
  • P - pause game (so you can use your cursor again)

It's a shorter game because I spent a lot of time on creating my own physics in P5 because I don't know how to use any proper physics engine
But I had a lot of fun creating it and hopefully you like it too!

i think it was pretty simplistic. if there was a story telling i think it would be pretty cool and enjoyable it has a lot of potential i think

I... didn't escape :( building a story, progress between puzzles would have been great, but hard to do in just a weekend

Fun mechanic, did get stuck in the jumping puzzle, since everytime i made it back again there was nowhere to go but up until that point I was having fun. Good job.

Very cool, I came back from the collapsing platforms after hitting the button but I don't think it was working right because I fell into a hole because it was the only place and got stuck (because it wouldn't kill me).

Very cool idea! I like the puzzles, simple graphics and sounds. I got stuck at the hole after completing the falling blocks section, I don't know if it's intentional or not.

@thorpalsson At the end of the parkour there was a subtle change in one of the walls

@theogen Mh, no, the fall should kill you and bring you back to the last checkpoint... but I never had this bug before.

neat game, but I had a lot of trouble controlling it. i played the web version but since the mouse wasen't locked to the screen I couldn't finish it. still it's impressive you made this in such a short amount of time. I hope you learned a lot. :)

It's definitely an interesting concept, which also fits the theme. If you plan on making a post jam version, you should probably just focus on making the game longer, since this is the only issue I can think of. Very neat puzzle game!

This game is cool! It is all done from scratch also! It have also Minecraft sound effects for some reason and i love it , i couldn't solve the puzzle of the wall.. Maybe is that i suck at puzzle games but this one is weird cause i tried all sort of combinations with the wall draws, some clueeeee pleaseee!! Awesome game

@ds-nahogara This is how the buttons are numbered. If you look closer at the drawings on the wall you will surely find a pattern

Nice puzzle game.
It didn't work properly in palemoon - it ran but ground to a halt after several seconds. Was ok in firefox though it was blocked by my adblocker for some reason.
That final puzzle was really awkward with the floaty movement and very sensitive mouse controls. It would probably have been better if you had more time on each block. It was a big difference in tone from the rest. I managed it eventually though.

Played til the end. Loved it. Amazingly done game design. It is a perfect game jam. The graphics is really a downside here.

Liked it a lot!
The looping between rooms was really well executed.
As opposed to what others have said, I really didn't mind the graphics, though I think some basic sound could've done wonders!

@zuvr Thanks for the review! There were some sounds for clicking buttons and walking, IDK maybe they could not been played for you.
