Möbius by tigerfinch

[raw]
made by tigerfinch for Ludum Dare 47 (COMPO)

Ran into some last minute bugs which meant I had to strip this right back. However, parts of it I'm pretty happy with, hope some people can enjoy it :)

A strategy game about trying to rescue everyone from various dying space habitats.

It's a cool concept but kinda tedious to play. It was also really confusing at first without a tutorial. Having arrow keys being able to control the player, or just a faster pace in general might have made it more fun. I think the core concept could be polished into something really fun though!

I really liked this. I got a little confused on the controls at first but once I figured it out I was pretty hooked.
High ratings over all :D

Once I figured out how to play the game was a quite interesting strategy game about turn management and risk/rewards. The only problem I had playing the game is sometimes the UI element displaying whose turn it was would get stuck on the ship for a while, slowing down the gameplay. This is probably a relatively quick fix that would be immensely helpful in making the game more enjoyable. Other than the problem with the ship's turn the game was very fun to play.

good: interesting concept, nice graphics.

bad: controls are not immediately obvious and the movement is quite slow. not clear what the link with the theme is -- is this one of the parts you had to strip back? after a few levels (the one in the screenshot, actually) the next button broke, which I guess is a bug?

The presentation's great, really aesthetically pleasing. Once I got into the mechanics of it, I found myself really enjoying the moment to moment challenge. Maybe some kind of tutorial or easing in with the complexity, but you only had 48 hours and I think you've done really well for that.

Took me a while to understand what to do, then it was a bit long and frustrating and finally when you start to get into it the game end.
It's an interesting concept and game, would be cool to have a bit more level with harder difficulty

Okay, it took me a while to figure it out. Definitely explain to the player somewhere on the itch.io page that the way of moving the player is by clicking the player and then an adjacent tile. Neat game, it's a shame how short it was, I would've loved to see more! Great work.

Cool concept, once you understand the controls it's a lot of fun. As others have said, easier controls a faster pacing would definitely help.

Shame you didn't make more levels, would have loved to play them. Good work!

Enjoyed the game. Took me a while to figure out what I was doing but really fun when I understood what to do. Think a little bit of polish would make this a great game!

I liked the idea you had, like others said I think a brief tutorial on how to move would be nice, plus some faster movement. I think with some small tweaks it has lots of potential, good work!

Nice concept. I'd join the comments above - better feedback and faster movements would make the experience better.
