ALPHA PAPA ECHO by jamesterjim
Our loveable giant ape friend is under attack, and it is down to you to help him out! Defend him with your life by surviving rounds of enemy fighters to gain points and, most importantly, to discover the power of friendship from fighting for your monkey ally. Take caution though, the army doesn't surrender that easy so it may be a rough ride out there! Do you have what it takes to protect Kong’s innocence from the power hungry dogs of the military?
This game was made for the Ludum Dare Jam 46. This has been our first attempt for a game jam and we have all worked incredibly hard to produce this game for you to play. These are hard times we are living in right now and we hope that our goofy little game will bring a little bit of joy to you during all of this. Any feedback is welcome and we really hope you have fun zooming around this game shooting bad guys to defend a giant monkey.!

Very well implemented, I felt like Chuck Yeager!
The global scale is perfect, it makes it really easy to learn to fight. The feel of the game is also good and the enemies really seem like they are fighting!
Has an old-school vibe to it. Very fun once you can get used to the controls.
Having done a flying game in a past jam, it's one of the trickiest things to get right. You did great considering the limited time.
I would have loved an option to invert pitch, and I'm personally used to A and D for Yaw and Q and E for Roll.
I love the interactive tutorial in the menu! And the difficulty seems well balanced.
Good job !
Design is really nice, graphics and sound fits well together. plane's trail really helps spotting enemies at long range but it is very hard to aim that far.
I love the idea that you protect the ape instead of shooting it. The city had a nice building variety and layout, i really like it.
- the feedback when you get a hit on an enemy
- the mix of air and ground targets
- this pretty big city you put together with a decent amount of stuff to look at
- that big goofy king kong model. Great interpretation of the theme hehe
Died on wave 5 after trying to do an aerobatic trick, jokes on me
