Amphibian Aura by DoctorTurbo

About the game:
You are recruiting allies for the old frogman Croak. He cannot fight himself. You can choose between different classes of allies to hire in the Town view. Allies are placed in sixths of the circle around Croak and you can swap their positions. Enemies are spawned accordingly in a circle around you.
If an enemy is facing an empty sixth he will attack Croak (the big health bar around all the allies) you need to rotate your setup to use each turn most effectively, because if Croak dies, you lose. Allies also have abilities that are detailed in the game.

Remember to use your abilities by clicking on them. The early rounds can be dull so you can skip through them using space, but as the complexity of encounters ramps up you will need to do a lot of decision-making to come out of encounters alive. Once you get a full 6 allies the game will endlessly put you against 6 random enemies. The game has no end yet.

We actually wanted to do the whole sfx and bgm system more thoroughly not to mention the game is sorely lacking some particle effects for the abilities to give better visual feedback. We just really got bogged down by the whole PlayerPrefs system trying to save and load the unit positions. Even now it seems randomly forgetful 5% of the time. I really hope some people can get something out of this game though.
It's a very fun and interesting entry!
I liked the idea for the battle system (if a little confusing - needs more focus on what you can do, especially abilites, cam rotation,) And the pre battle choice is a neat idea too. Nice work!
Amazing to have a save system in a jam
I loved the graphics. That was adorable. Such great work for so few days Good Job.
Is it worth a replay? What bugs did you fix exactly I can't find no changelog
@ausstein Before you could have your allies die and still win, you could lose all your allies in a save and the overall flow was much more janky. Now it actually feels like a game. Though you might have played the updated version actually. I made the post much later.
@svipal I'll make a fresh linux build in 20min tell me if it works. I don't have mac or linux myself so I cant really test.
EDIT: New linux build is up
