Relaxing Sarlacc Experience by Ekoxe

[raw]
made by Ekoxe for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

A relaxing sarlacc experience.

Unwind in a wholesome drag and drop 2d game & experience perpetuity on Tatooine as a Sarlacc.

You must feed your pit and keep it alive. Keep pit alive. Nobody else made that pun. No one.

Just remember you are nothing but a speck in this vast universe, so why not chill out to some sick lo-fi Star Wars beats and take it easy.

I could play this for hours, really fun to just keep murdering the jawas.

In its belly I found a new definition of relaxation as I was digested for 1000 years

Excellent. It's what it says on the tin and so much more. The meat explosion is the icing that completes the cake. 5/5.

I had to stop myself at 120 dudes before I just spent an hour dragging and dropping guys in haha. It's surprisingly fun, adding some extra particle effects and making it so you can fling dudes with gravity would go a long way too. Good entry.

This was really fun! I think I got an achievement/easter egg for moving one of the blue things to the other side of the pit but it was hard to read.

Love it! As soon as I heard the music I knew this was going to be great! The art is amazing and the game is well based on the theme (although as soon as I heard that music, the theme went out the window :). Pretty cool overall!

Edit: The game was fun to play, even though you're just dragging "dudes" into a pit. I also liked how they slide into the pit if you put them too far away.

Dude, this game wins the jam for me. At first I was playing for real and like, "meh" but then the beats kicked in and I was like, "bruh..."

10/Chill - Would mellow again.

I liked how if I grabbed a Jawa while he was walking left and dropped him into the pit and slightly missed he would just walk out of it. Lando wasn't nearly to chill about the whole thing.

Overall a relaxing enjoyable experience :) I liked the barge that came by and dropped a bunch of guys into the pit for me. I think you could have expanded the hit areas to make the grabs a little more forgiving and added some physics so you could chuck guys in from a distance to make this more fun.

Nicely done

My teammate, Anna called dibs for rating this game, but I wanted to send a little note, about how delightful this game is. It really is amazingly relaxing and I love the music, in fact I am just gonna let the game run in the background so I have chill Star Wars music coming in my headphones for a while. Maybe an hour, or three. Both of us are huge Star Wars fans and I am sure she will rate very high indeed. I know I would -- but like I said she called dibs. -- Zen

This game is fantastic. There are so many things I love about this game.

I'm a huge fan of 80's retro games and I love that the graphics resemble Atari 2600 craftsmanship with a bit of Lemmings thrown in. The particle standstorm works well too.

Tossing the Jawa's in is fun, but I also like that I can rescue them by tossing them to the right. It's good to have pacifist options.

The music makes the game. It's actually relaxing.

5/5 on everything - I hope this wins!

of course the music was fantastic, and i loved watching the botatos slide down into the pit when you let them go right on the very edge

Game is cool but may be more fun. You can add a hand for example instead of the cursor when you can pickup a thing, and make the collision bigger to make easier the drag and drop. With this type of game you can add crazy ideas with the scoring system that's a good base, add more variety to break the repetitive principe of the game.

I tried to put enemys on different sides but that did nothing. Overall, the game isn't really fun because there is no challange.
