Story

The world was shattered into many pieces. Only a mythical beast, yet unborn, may save it. Your goal is to carefully carry the egg through this fractured world, to save the beast and thus save the world.

Information

The game was created using the Unity game engine (2019.3). The foot step sound and the tree falling sound are external assets, everything else was created by us (please consider this when rating the audio!). We also used the free Unity asset LeanTween for a few things, available in the Unity asset store.

Controls:

  • WASD (or Arrow Keys) to move
  • Mouse movement to look around
  • Space to jump
  • Hold left shift to sprint

There are versions for all major platforms, but Windows is recommended as it's the most tested and the platform we developed on.

Those jumps are unforgiving! Cool graphics.

A really cute style! I loved all of the modelling - I agree that with the inability to move at all during jumps they can be particularly difficult. After several attempts I wasn't able to get onto the upper platform. :( still, you did a lot of great work with this!! ~✧

Awesome graphics even though it is difficult! But that is what makes it frustratingly fun!

I really like the effects, as well as the different potions that were scattered around! Some control when you are in the air would be nice for regular jumps, or if there was some control, just more control! Overall, this is really good jam entry!

Good graphics and soundFX. But the jumps are difficult to control. Over jumped too many times! Or fall short. :slight_frown:

@erin @briibot @god-colo @black-flag @bulent-altinay Thanks for all your nice comments! We hoped the missing air control would bring a new level of required precision into the platforming, especially with the fact that you can't be jumping too far or too long without losing the egg. However, it seems that we have overdone it a bit and made the game a tad too difficult. Thanks that you played it anyway, however far you might have gotten. In hindsight we probably should have introduced a little bit of air control by default, and let the purple potion increase the level of control you get. Would have probably made the game more enjoyable for everybody.

extremely entertaining game, I got goosebumps every time I had to jump from a far distance.
The mood in this is excelent, and the gameplay is very nice. (even if some times it feels a little inconsistent)

Pretty cool game, although there was this one game breaking bug, that kept getting in my way. When I bunny hopped , sometimes, I would just get launched into the air and the level wouldn't restart and there was no restart level button, which forced me to restart the game and do everything all over again. Also the balancing the the egg idea is pretty cool, but the problem is that sometimes it's very stable when I;m doing a lot of movement, but sometimes, it just falls on the ground for no reason what so ever. Really like the graphics and the sound design, really helps to set the mood for this game. Great Job!

This is overall a pretty fun little platform game. But the controls could have been better, and balance the eggs is really difficult.

Really cool 3D puzzle platformer. I like the art especially those portals and the UI. However, I do not like the jumping and movement. It feels clunky and not as agile as it should be for a platformer.

Really well thought out level design. Levels were designed to teach the player the different game mechanics, without having any text at all. I got stuck on one level though, because the egg would glitch through the spoon. Like others said, I think air control would have helped a lot.

Neat little game, but some mechanics were not very clear to me. I was not sure how the egg lost it balance sometimes, and the lack of air strafing most of the time was quite annoying. But other than these small inconveniences I liked this game :)

Hey nice entry! The portal effects were awesome. I agree with what was said above about the jumping so not too much else to add. I think the mood of this one is the strong point!

Nice entry. The footsteps volume level should default to lower. I know you can customize it but it was distractingly loud on the first play. I have the same complaints as above on the controls when jumping, as well. I like how simple the music is bit manages to not be annoying, even though it's repeating.

Neat entry!

I wish the potions had a little explanation of some kind.

Platforming mechanics were a bit frustrating, and I wish the killbox was a bit closer so I didn't have to wait as long when I made a mistake.

Otherwise pretty fun!

let me control myself in midair! :) Overall, solid platforming design, I like the powerups that let you contextually change the challenge for each level, and you did a fantastic job with progression. Very fun game, it probably deserves a 1.0.

Nice atmosphere with music and simple graphics. But yeah, platforming is frustrating and collision of a fallen tree on one of the levels too. And I don't know what you should do on the next level without air control.
