Cool concept. I like the battle-top game mechanics but sadly the game crashes a little time after defeating 5 enemies in the tutorial. Don't know if it's just my computer or something else. Nice that you're using GODOT though!

Actually brilliant. Really fun to just bounce around and hit things - yes I played with mouse. Unfortunately the game crashed for me right after I was promised the "Real Deal". While the dialog was funny I feel there should have been less of it and more time to experiment. This could make a really fun multiplayer game. Overall great job!

I am too victim of the post-tutorial crash unfortunately... Too bad because it seemed fun and particularly dynamic! The mechanics seemed on point and fun.

Despite the game crashing after the tutorial I really saw a lot of potential in the idea, Human Bey-Blades on ice, I'd love to see the issue fixed at some point after the results of LD47 and maybe even a fully realized version of the concept, with such a fun tutorial you've got something great on your hands

@no-grapes-games @stellarbeargames @corentin-benoit-gonin @kassie-kitsune The crash should be fixed now (it was one of those crashes that only occurs in the compiled version of the game). Sorry for the inconvenience. We'd be happy if you could give our game another try.

Really liked the mechanics! I just thought the constant streams of text broke the game's flow quite a bit and got a bit annoying

The mechanic is sooo cool and unique. Very interesting setting as well. While the text of the narrator was very charming, some explanations felt a bit long (at least I could skip them if needed).

Cool concept, really liked the slo-mo when you collide with an enemy

@stellarbeargames @caiojmini @tayo We added the option to play the game with less text in the Post-LD version.

That was the most fun I had with a game in quite some time! It's just so frantic and awesome and original, I really love this game :)
The music and sounds (as well as the camera) totally support that feeling, the narration is quite hilarious, only the visuals could maybe use a bit of work, but they totally get the job done.
I unfortunately couldn't beat the 15k points stage, which probably is the last one? But I had such a good time until then (and it's amazing how fast 20 min can go by).
Started playing with keyboard but then switched to mouse because aiming at foes feels so much better, BUT I think the ultimate best input device for this one would be the gamepad.
I encourage you to develop this further (especially multiplayer could be amazing) because I think I've never played something quite like it before and you could've hit an unoccupied niche here. High(est) marks all around from me, great job!

The game feels nice to control and play. The concept is very original, i don't think i have ever played a spinning top battle game.
The music really fits the frantic gameplay.
Nice entry !

Nice take on the theme. Even if I couldn't pass the 15k level (-_-') I really enjoyed your game.
I only have one suggestion: make the dead enemies disappear after a while, because after few kills, it becomes a bit hard to tell which enemies are dead or alive.
That said, this game is a very nice entry. Good job to all of you (especially those in charge of the music).

I liked this a lot. I launched it without reading the description and the expectation of an ice skating game being shattered by the gladiator spawn made me laugh. Gameplay was enjoyable. One small complaint is that the camera movement started hurting my eyes, but that's more an accessibility issue than a game design thing.

Nice work!

Really love the slow-mo effect. The gun sound effect was not affected by the volume in the menu. Good music. Strong entry!

It reminded me of a top that I used to play with when I was a kid.

Fun to play, music and sfx fit well, the only improvement I could think of would be to make the dash move you in the direction you are already moving instead of where you are trying to move. As it is now, when playing on a keyboard you can only dash in 8 directions, not in any direction.

@bjornstahl We experimented with that and felt it didn't give you enough control over which direction you dash in. As it is now you CAN dash in the direction you are already moving using the keyboard by not pressing any of WASD when you dash (maybe we should have had the game itself explain this). Or you can move with your keyboard and dash with your mouse.

I didn't know that until now. That the ice dancers sometimes do a carnage dance.

This was completely bizarre but really fun. It's very chaotic and I'm not sure how much control I really had, but it was certainly enjoyable. I played right up until I got the gun, after which I think I accidentally shot myself (is that possible?).
