This was a fun little game, nice job!
Not gonna lie, I didn't make it to the ocean but I gave it a fair few cracks, those snakes are just too quick haha.
Well done, keep up the amazing work.
At first I didn't get the objective, then I decided to just follow the wall and no snakes were there haha
I think it would be a better fit to do a stealth game (I think it was more of a keep running game). Camera control with mouse would be good, I couldn't see the snakes around me.
Since you're a team and you're using an engine I would suggest working a bit more on the game design and what could be interesting and challenging.
Keep doing it and improving :D

@kogyblack thanks for your feedback, glad you had fun :D The idea of turning it into a stealth game is actually pretty interesting! Atm, the game is meant to be played with a bit of a speedrun mindset, hence the timer at the top of the screen.
- You cant really escape the snakes with jumping or outrunning
- You can just follow the wall to win
- The game is very laggy on my pc and i have good specs
- i had to start the game several times, because it crashed the first few...
But those are no deal breakers. Great try!
Maybe I'm just bad, but I think the game is too hard. The camera should be more zoomed out and further from the iguana so you can see the snakes better. The percent of energy isn't nearly enough to run away from the snakes.
Good job
I think this is is a wonderful jam game. I don't know the last game that had me cringing on the edge of my seat and hanging onto the keyboard like this. I went right down the center.

The snakes are terrifying.

Even when I just went back to check out this right side exploit (or survival of the fittest route, who can say) I was still sure so conservative- certain that a snake was gonna pop out and end me- phew.

Also, pleased to play a 3d godot game! Thanks so much for the game!
I would have loved gto ahve a few more levels, but overall great job!
This game needs one thing: David Attenborough Comentary.
"A near miracoulus Escape" once you get to the water.
Or the opening statement "The snakes eyes aren't really good, so if the hatchling stays still it might avoid detection" could be the tutorial for this game.
I don't know if you were worried about coppyright, but I think that would have fallen under fair use. (I'm no lawyer tho)
The gameplay was quite cool, but short. And I would have loved if you included some gameplay from the "escape the snake coiling" part.
I really like the concept, and the art is nice! The mechanics are a bit lacking though. And I'm not really sure how to win the game to be honest. Is it just finding a path without any snakes near? I can't seem to escape from them like in an action game, they don't seem to move along paths (or at all) like in stealth games.
PS: Love the game name, haha.
