Rogue Janitor by stolen_biscuit
Like all things in this world, the ones who keep things alive are the ones who receive the least appreciation or recognition.
In Rogue Janitor you play as Grolig, the Goblin Janitor. You work for Ooolag the Demon King in his Dungeon as one of the custodial staff.
After defeating the last wave of Human Heroes, Ooolag took everyone out for drinks to celebrate. Things got a bit out of hand, and now it's 2pm, you're hungover and you realise you forgot to clean up the dungeon before next shift!
Rush through the procedurally generated dungeon levels and tidy up before the next wave of humans arrive, if the humans arrive before you're finished cleaning and resetting the treasure you'll get fired and the Dungeon will shut down!
How to play:
Use W/A/S/D to move yourself around the dungeon. Move your mouse to move your camera, left click to pick something up.
Pick up bodies and junk (the cylinders) and dispose of them by feeding them to the Grue-in-a-Box.
Pick up gems from the top of your gem sack, and put them inside of a chest to fill the chest back up.
Mop up blood pools by moving the mop back and forth over the top. After you have cleaned everything, find the portal and move into it to avoid getting fired for being a lazy drunk

Unfortunately it's still not working for me :/
I get this fairly unhelpful error message:

I'm on MacOS Catalina 10.15.4, so it might be related to the 64bit only thing.
the art style is super unique and took some getting used to, but i ended up really liking it. the sound is good. some of the mechanics were a little wonky, like putting the gems in the chests -- it was kind of finicky. but i had fun with the experience, nice work!
i know it's more likely that you made this on linux with windows-style borders, but i want to believe that you make this on windows 95
This game is very hilarious to play. Especially the graphics are in such a nice style now having finally played it for myself.
The controls are a bit clunky but it really adds to its overall charm of being a goblin janitor. I love the mimic/grue-in-a-box and his face expressions!
a suggestion for the future: getting lost was easy, maybe the goblin could have a paper with a sketch of the map (and current location).
Good job 👍 it is a very charming game
My primary piece of feedback would be to add some way to change the mouse sensitivity, I use a high DPI and it was very fast.
on your own risk and using common sense of course
I've seen that security problem before, and I tried that fix, but this is something different.
I'll give it a go.
Not sure what the proper fix is here, it seems like MacOS is refusing to run the .app for some reason.
Black/White/Red is a nice visual style. It made it a little disorienting, but maybe that's intentional?
Physics were a little finnicky, bodies always seeemed to be glitching out, and one time I couldn't put a gem in a chest. (I think it might have clipped through the side of another chest which might be why)
Anyway I had fun playing this  once I finally got it working at least
I wonder if this is a change in how MacOS handles permissions?
The humor and the overall feel are pretty Grue-ling. The contrast with the music is on point.
The random generation was awesome, the concept was cool, I love the idea and story. I got lost, I think that's just me being rubbish though :') x

I like the background music, and that thing in the shredding box that eat bodies and junk was really cute somehow.
So that you know, I also managed to produce this bug :

But, overall, this is a great entry, good job !
But your game isn't annoying. So good job for making cleanup fun
It's great that you managed to make the dungeon procedurally generated. That is really hard to do.
That said the junk was hard to spot and I managed to glitch Grue-in-a-Box thru a wall and one time a junk got eaten but didn't count.
I found the mouse movement a bit too sensitive though, but that's just me.
Overall, great work :)
5 :star:
The graphics, or rather the color choices, I didn't like. The stark contrast of pure black and white gets very tiring for the eyes after a while. It would be fine if the environment was colored like that and the interactables had their own colors. But because everything (besides the blood) is the same black and white, you really need to strain your eyes to find things. After a while, that strain adds up.
I liked the animation on the mop and Grue-in-a-Box was just superb!
I encountered a bit of bugs, especially with the chests. Happened to me not once that the gem I was dropping into the chest just disappeared. Not fell on the floor, simply went pufff. I think it mostly happened when my hand was touching the lid of the chest and I let go of the gem. Maybe it wasn't disappearing per se but just got stuck inside a lid? In any case, that was forcing me to run back for more gems.
It also happened to me that there was a sort of additional body on the level. It wasn't included in the "to do" list, yet it was lying right there. Maybe that one was for decoration
@baconn00 thanks for the feedback!
