  • Play as the wanderer, in his attempt to protect "the Kid" from a hostile environment.
  • Your objective is to restore the Kid to full energy.

Mechanics:

  • Hunt down energy-filled rocks, crystals and canisters in order to replenish yours and the Kid's energy.
  • Four available abilities: a short-range punch, a long-range shot, cube building and heal, each dependent on mouse aiming.

Very good game, I love the graphics and the concept, I wish the peripheral vision of the player wasn't blacked out though.

Great art and mood, love the visual feedbacks, especialy those of the gun. I didn't understood what was the use of the cube, also is there a way to play in fullscreen ?

@argon Thanks! The cube can be used as a barrier/lure, as well as a weak AOE, would you cast it on an invalid spot. (Just edited the page to add that key:) F4 toggles fullscreen, I forgot to mention it when writing up the post ;)

Great job! The movement of the 'wanderer' felt really smooth, and I like how there are various abilities. In addition, the animations and art are also well done and environment gives a hostile atmosphere. This is a very polished looking game!

Loved the game! I didn't play through the full game, but I could defeat everything with just punching. and pressing "Esc" automatically to pause closed the game for me for multiple times and that was annoying. I think you could have added some sort of pause menu or ask if player really wants to quit. otherwise great game.

Really solid game! Great graphics and sound - the controls felt pretty good. The harvesting of energy as the final goal was a bit hard to keep track - perhaps should be promoted a bit more.

The gameplay itself should probably ramp up a bit faster, to keep things interesting.

Nevertheless very solid entry.

@e-server Duly noted, accessibility is always something we could work on more. I would recommend you try learning the games you test a bit more: well, what can I say... first time I ever hear this, over years of keeping exit on esc press on. Past your first mishap with that key, it might be up to you to avoid further pressing it on accident. Maybe the rest of the kit could have helped you complete the game as well? Sticking to the punch can do the trick, but I believe later game requires you to adapt around the AOE and projectile based enemies.
Thanks!

@joror Indeed! We always try to balance out our games to be a breeze for us to complete, so that testers have a decent challenge. Our better players might still want more, however, which is completely valid - this time around, we didn't really find ways to have the game adapt to the player, so to speak. Same goes for gameplay objectives - past writing up an intro here, and a bit of in-game feedback, we do get the player to multitask on the go - not the most elegant tutorial there is :P
Cheers!
