Game Loop:

Very simple puzzle-style game. Build the longest fuse before the burning part catches up to you. Gather bonus nodes on the map and avoid the debuff nodes. Map is randomly generated and filled with buff/debuff nodes at the start of the game. Game timer starts when you connect the first tile to the root tile. Each tile will burn for a set amount of time before igniting the next.

Notes:

There are some minor issues, but most of it should work just fine. There isn't a ton of strategy involved other than fitting the randomly generated pieces together in order to create a fuse that burns the longest. I didn't feel my idea came through all that well, but at least it's something.

Controls:

WASD or Right Mouse Button Drag: Move the camera around the map
Left Mouse Button: Select fuse tiles from your hand and place them on the map
T: Reshow the tutorial menu

More information is found in the tutorial menu when the game is started.

Nothing like feeling like you are doing good until the beeper starts beeping out of control. Great game!

Haha, how stressful! I kind of expected the blocks to flow like in a tetris game. As you already have to choose where to put a block, maybe it's a bit redundant to also have to click on a block to choose it first. Nice entry overall!

The beeping increasing in frequency as the fuse gets closer to burning out is a brilliant feature. Really stressful and fun game!

Game art and gameplay are simple yet very good. I think the tutorial has a bit too much text but once we understand most of it we get a lot of fun (and stress!)

That was intense  Very good audio and graphics. There was maybe a bit too much text at the beginning, and I skipped over most of it. Very good game overral :)

Gets intense really quickly. I liked it, good audio work too, allthough it was hard to understand at first.

What a great game! I rate it as good but have to mention two things. You put so much text to read in the beginning with basic font and buttons, I almost closed it. But fortunately I kept it open and gave it a try. It's a great one! Goes into my best games of LD46 list.

Thanks for all the nice feedback :)

@cagibi @mudlee Yeah, I wasn't really sure if it was a good idea to force people through the "tutorial" part. I really wanted to add a shorter ingame tutorial and should have spent some more time on that the last day. Thanks for pointing it out, I will make sure to focus more on this part in the future 👍

Very nice and original game! It's hard to develop something original, so kudos for that! I didn't mind all the text in the tutorial, you can click through it easily enough. I felt that clicking back and forth between the pieces and the board is a little cumbersome with such a fast-paced game.

This is a great game, very good take on the game.
With some improvements a see this as a viable commercial game.

Good Idea! enjoyed it!
The only problem that I had was when I reached at the bottom of the page, I was not able to see the rest of the empty spots, since it was covered with the new elements windows.

Nice puzzle game. My best score was 9514. When I first started, it took me a little time to figure out that I had to click the pieces at the bottom, but everything made sense after that.

I love the puzzle! It caches the theme mood. I would definitely play it on my mobile.
