I really love the graphics. The lens dirt adds so much. I feel that the game could use some music

Game looks very good, simple and fun! I see potential for more features and mechanics. Could maybe add a score indicator during the gameplay. Overall good job!

Thanks so Much.

@nikos I thought about adding music but it would be so bad everyone would just turn it off anyway

@ndrw The score can be seen from the pause menu, I just prefer to have little/no UI

Great work! Really fun and great looking top down shooter. I've got 2 pieces of feedback: 1. it was unclear to me how much health everything had so maybe health bars might have been something to add that could be helpful. 2. It's missing a bit of essential juice. You've got great visual effects, glowing, lighting, sound effects, etc. But nothing feels worse than hitting a shot on an enemy and the shot just dissapears. No explosion? No sound effect? It really diminishes the feeling of a great shooter.

Hey there! I liked the graphics of this game, and I thought it really added to the atmosphere. I also liked how the boxes fell of the truck and I think that indicated life amount. I think it would beneficial to randomize the pitch of the shooting so that you don't hear the same exact noise every time you shoot. I also think you could add in at least one more enemy type. Maybe a dude who shoots rockets, or an enemy that just rushes you without a gun, or an enemy that is really big and slow with a lot of health. I think you did a really good job with this game! Nice Work!

@thecrancher totally agree I made the mistake of rushing to much at the beginning and by the end I ended up having a bit of free time but not enough to rework all my spaghetti code, also thanks for playing.

Nice! Really like the laser graphics - especially when the screen is just a chaos of red and blue bullets flying all over the screen. It reminds me of Star Wars. It might have been more interesting if some enemies actually attacked me rather then the payload. The only two times I died was when I happened to be standing in the line of enemy fire. Other than that though it's really good! In addition to the lasers, I feel like the whole graphics in general were great. The explosions when the payload takes damage and the light effect when it goes into the tunnel are cool! Definitely could see this as a fun multiplayer game if you expanded it.

@eoshadows thanks, the targeting was semi intentional as with limited time I wanted to focus the game on "Keeping It Alive".

There are a lot of neat thigns in here:
* the controls work very well, which especially in shooter jam games is not to be taken for granted.
* the glowing VFX look really neat. I also liked the overal consistency in style between the game and the menu and the darkish setting that gave the glowing laser (literally) ample opportunity to shine.
* displaying the "health bar" in form of the convoy loosing cargo is a great idea! Losing cargo felt much more immersive than just loosing a few pixels on a bar.

There are also a few points that I think could be improved:
* the lack of any amunition mechanic or the use of tactial reources (say granades?) make the gameplay a bit stale... right now the biggest risk is being on the wrong side of the convoy or being caught under it.
* while i liked the last shot audio clip on its own having a larger number of identical shots fired leads to a noisy kind of sawing. Maybe foes could have a different sound or at higher numbers some of the shot sound could be culled out.
*I don't want to know the exact time it takes to reach the end beforehand! This way I kind of felt like just waiting untill the time was up, with little anticipation for what was to come. I think simply hiding the exact number or better yet more clearly splitting the mission into smaller waves/encounters and hiding the global duration number would go a long way here.

@radow thanks a lot for playing and leaving great feedback, it is a little funny that your list almost exactly matches my own.

I had planned on having some kind of resupply mechanic requiring you to return to the convoy,
and also Audio has never been my strong suite, I'm kind of lucky the game has audio at all.

It is a fun game and I like the graphics. But its a bit repetitive.

Very fun game. I like the idea of escorting the truck with crates that work kinda as a health bar. Great atmosphere as well. Good job overall!
