Woodstone_02 is a local multiplayer competitive strategy game where you strive to control the board and deliver devastating blows to your opponent! As this is a local multiplayer game, players will have to pass the mouse back and forth based on whose turn it is.

Please read the tutorial on the itch.io page, as there is no tutorialization in the game and some of the rules are not immediately apparent.

@jacob-bernard Thanks for the review! And I agree, there is a lot of play-testing and tweaking of mechanics in my future.

neat graphics and audio but my criticisms are that it doesn't really fit the theme and its just not really that engaging i played with a friend and it just felt same old maybe with some more rules and twist it would keep attention for longer

Hi! The game is done well, everything is cool, I didn't find any bugs. The only thing I was a little bored.

Hi there ! Thanks for submitting your game to my stream (twitch.tv/drjavasaurus). I really enjoyed the concept, as I mentionned. It's a very nice prototype for a TBS and shows that you don't need exuberant graphics to make something fun. Maybe there could be a bit more "punch" with animations and particles, but this is a Jam ! Well done, I can see this project grow :) It has potential !

Very interesting game! I really liked the art and gameplay! However, I feel like it could use some more juice, such as animations and particles. Besides that, nice work!

Whoa, that's probably the most different game i've seen in this jam. It has a nice mechanic, kinda remind me of go, and a have a nice time playing it against my friend. The sounds are very fitting. Congrats!

This was a fun game! It reminds me of a lot of old board games, and felt very nostalgic. I played a few rounds of this with my parents. It took a bit to figure out how things worked, but we had fun in the end!

Really liked this game. Sadly I don't have friends so I played against myself. Still really fun. This would make a really good board game. Reminds me of Go.

This game made me feel nostalgic too! Reminds me of the games I played withmy grandpa e mother. Unfortunately now I played by myself, but was able to enjoy it, well done! The only thing I would like is to be able to zoom a little bit (sorry if you can and I wasn't able to do it)

Hmm I think there is a bug in the game. I think you are only supposed to place pieces starting from your own pieces. But I can just select any empty square as a starting piece. This means I can just win on turn 1 by placing a group straight to my opponents base...
Other than that cool idea.

@ausstein Thank you for telling me about the bug, I'm in the process of creating a post-jam version with online multiplayer so all mentions of bugs are welcome
