"Crypto also accepted" hahaha you definitely got me there. Really good idea! The amusing connection between programmer/gamedev and begger is epic.

Definately loved the humor! I knew I had to play this one all the way through after stuggling to get that bed in beginning! Amazing art and love the menu's/UI. It's all really well thought out. For sure my highest rated game of the jam so far! Love it!

Only thing I dislike is the lack of audio (Glad you opt'd out) and that your NOT gonna add more stuff to it. :c

Thanks so much @phil-c! Very happy to hear you enjoyed it. Yep, sadly I was working away from my home setup and forgot to download FL studio on my laptop beforehand so I didn't get the chance to make a quick tune (which might be for the best bacause I'm terrible at music anyhow ^^)

Absolutely amazing art you made, have no idea how you managed this in 72 hours, would love to see a bigger game from you in the future

@nachtwitch Thanks a lot! honestly I wasn't sure about the art style I chose so it's nice to hear good things ^^. Also just to clarify I was in the compo so the time limit is 48 hours... I have a project I am working on currently which is totally different (action rogue-lite platformer), but honestly I thought about it last night and it might be fun to do a 1 month version of this game and see how far I can get with it, if it's good enough maybe put it on Steam... idk, but I'll think about it.

The art style is brilliant. However, I would add some more activities to make game more engaging ;p

@celmer89 Thanks, Yea a few more would have been nice but sadly I settled on large UI button size and could't afford to change it to make more space. Also not sure how far you got but you do unlock more as you go and based on day/night time

Like all good idle games it manages to be both entertaining and incredibly tedious at the same time.

Were all the buttons supposed to be idle? Sleeping was for me but I had to click on Beg and Search Trash repeatedly. Overall it was fun but hard, I never managed to buy an energy Bar much less make it to the city on a few play-throughs.

Hey @locomule, no only a few actions were meant to be idle... thanks for the feedback, I thought it should be hard since from what I know getting out of homelessness isn't easy (and neither is game dev ^^). One tip is to check out the city at night for a way to make some quick cash. But yea once you buy the bed it gets easier to not hemorrhage money. (also bar is not required or recommended early)

Second line in and it already made me chuckle with some of the whitty lines. WOuld be nice if the game was a little more fast paced, as I felt like I wasn't going anywhere fast. Love the graphics however, and very themeatic! Great job!

@humphreysmedia Thanks for the feedback... I did make the progression slow mostly by design because I wanted this game like an idle game where you don't always go up, so difficulty was part of the plan... I do think I would reduce it if this wasn't a jam game though.

I really liked the story you put with this resource management game. I also like the way you handled "losing" the game. Nice touch. Let's all take this as a warning to not quit our day jobs to make games :)

@jharler Looks like I'm not very good at listening to my own warnings then ^^'

Really nice little game - it reminds me to the time on the good old browsergames :)
