Took a little while to understand what I hand to do, but once I got the hang of it, I thought the game was well executed. I can see how each of the features roll in to eachother. The most satisfying part was setting a whole string of hedges alight and watching them all burn up!

@madbookstudios I swear my next jam game the FIRST thing I'll do is a start screen.

Great game bud. Really dug the concept and was a fun way to go with the prompt.

Great concept! Difficulty curve may be a little too high, but it's a lot of fun and looks great!

Little too short, but still awesome.
Idk if only I have this bug, but sound almost destroyed my speakers and woke up entire family

@bjakubowski sorry! What happened to cause the sound to go too loud?

@bjakubowski I don't really know, I just opened it up and instantly got earraped.

The flames are so satifying to spread once you know what to do!!!
I actually thought those bushes was small trees because of units being usually small in an RTS.

The only suggestion for me was to make the flames a bit bigger in their radius. I just find those burn offering too close to simply spread.

You said you overscoped but the game is done well at this point.
You should probably make it into a full game if that's your fancy! Well done~

A very cool idea, enticed for a while, but if the author plans to develop the game, it is worth introducing elements gradually.

@moomka some stuff I had thought of adding from level 3 onwards: villages with houses and little people to burn down, burning people running around setting fire to things you didn't want to burn, enemy units destroying your scarecrows, putting out your fires, player-buildings to defeat those enemies, block them. I had started working on flying enemy units but then my time was up.

One of the best games from this jam I've played so far! This game is the perfect explanation of why it's so damn fun to start forest fires.

Took me a while to get used to controls and mechanics

I like the idea, the audio could be improved a bit though.

Good job!

Good graphics and the effect of the flames blackening the ground was cool. I tried the first level a few times and found the fire difficult to spread from one effigy to another. I wouldn't say you overscoped too badly and have made a great proof of concept for a bigger game.

@alex-mulkerrin thanks, right now I'm working on adding more content and I've increased the flame radius too. I'll release a small game from this I suppose, maybe some 7 levels or so. I really dug the concept.

Nice concept, but the game could use some sort of tutorial to help understand the mechanics. Fun game after you know what to do!

Awesome! Took me a bit to get a rhythm going, but once I understood a little more what was best to do at any given moment, I actually started to make some progress. Just needs some cool music and you'll be set!
