Tamagotchi meets Pokémon!

Very cute game! The animations and art are amazing. Very good entry.

Cute! I like it. The graphics leave a bit to be desired, but the game is a little, cute, fun experience, that I would recommend to anyone reading this.

A well presented game but I don't know if I was playing it right or, like an original tamagotchi, I just had to wait a very long time for anything to happen. Perhaps more visual feedback or queues would have been handy or some instructions early in the game to get us started? Either way, it looks good and has snappy interactions and nice pixely animations.

Hmm, I couldnt get anything to happen, but the animations are very nice and the background is funny. I like how a different piece of food is spawned every time. Also the microwave/AC sound effects are very nice. Maybe try explaining what to do, like I get the concept, but I tried dragging things and nothing happend

Like the cute little animations. Overall pretty enjoyable but I could not manage to work out how to entertain the blobs because the ball was not working.

Nice game but after some time playing I noticed the elements go out of screen. Try fixing that. Otherwise very nice game.

Cute graphics. The only real struggle I had was managing temperature with different bon. Other than that, it was fun having to manage multiple at once.

Very cute game, but took me a while to understand what I was supposed to do.

Loved the style of the game, I felt like everything I could see belonged in the game and that was the strongest point. The scope of the game also really works for Ludum Dare, and I don't feel like it tried to do too much. The one thing I wish I would have had while I was playing it was hotkeys for the interactions with the cute egg boys, it was annoying to keep moving my mouse back and forth as I got further.

Very cute, and the picture in the background scares me, haha. Im surprised more people didn't make virtual pet games, but this is fun! I really like the designs of the little creatures, and this is a good simple virtual pet game. My one complaint would be that it's a little too needy? Tamagotchi are best when you can have them in the background while youre doing something else, unless you really dialed everything up to 100 in order to make it more compelling, gameplay wise. I really like the cute little creatures you've got so far, I just want to see you help bring them to their full potential! Nice job, I'll definitely be checking back on this one later to see what kinds of creatures I can evolve.

Not a bad game, I love the aspect of balancing the different needs. I feel like temperature could use some tweaking to make it easier to balance the needs of different mons, as it was the hardest part of managing more than one. Otherwise a pretty good experience

As we described over the screenshots, the idea is to take an egg, give it proper tempreture (it will give feedback either it wants it cold or hot) and it will hatch, after that you take care of your little bun. Thanks for the feedback, we will take it in mind!

@hundred Thanks as i mentioned above, you need to place the egg on the floor, after that change the tempreture and it will hatch after some time. If you would like (we would love to) give it another try and let us now if everything worked. If not, please tell us. Thanks for the good words!

the choice of having to make a plant survive and grow is a very good idea for this theme. playing your cute game made me want to get my Tamagodchi out of the XD closet

This brings me back! - I like what you have done with it and I have to admit that it was harder to keep them alive than I first thought. I managed to get 2 going but more than that seemed impossible. I liked the graphics a lot :)!

I love pet games, so this was really fun to play around with! The small little eggs are so so adorable.

I did not understand what to do though when after placing some of the eggs on the table, they wouldn't hatch. I tried putting them in the incubator but that wouldn't work, so I was probably doing something wrong :see_no_evil:
The ones that hatched were fun to take care of!

Some of the eggs require diffrent tempretures for hatching, but it could get little tricky/glitchy the best way is to try keep the same species of eggs alive at the same time, due to tempreture controll. We would like to add diffrent rooms for diffrent eggs in the future. Thanks once again for playing!

@flamus - OH I see! So you're meant to keep the entire room temperature to a specific value, and only hatch the eggs that are the same species which work for that temperature?

@sndr Yeah exactly, you can of course hatch diffrent eggs, but it will get harder due to the damage intake for example if you have ice egg and it will have 4/5 temperature. So i recommend using similiar eggs at the same time, it will make game easier. Of course, best is just to experiment and see every egg how it behaves(and evolve;)). Good luck!

This game is really cute and fun. It's simple enough to learn straight away and I loved it! This could become a big title easily!

Fun little game! Sadly I couldn't get the pet to play ball, looking through the comments only I seem to have this problem? I'm using the web link.
I enjoyed changing the temperature of the room per egg and the added foods available.
Like mentioned before hotkeys would be a great addition to the game (:

Red eggs were my favorite, I felt like they weren't as needy as the freezier guys. I was raising my little army, but I got too arrogant, and my house of cute Bun-o-gotchis collapsed as the third one reached maturity. Alas, lost but not forgotten.

Great take on the theme, the genre is obviously a perfect match. Another thing that stood out to me was the great art on the buns, I loved them. Wonderful game!

Tamagotchi was a no-brainer for this kind of theme. Excellent implementation.

I like that you can take care of multiple eggs at once and you managed to add real pacing to the game

@flubz-5 Thanks for playing! Thanks for feedback, the maturity could be hard to get sometimes, so its best to just keep cleaning the poop, feeding, giving it time to rest and still playing with. Its important to put the bun into sleep due to the fact that playing with the ball makes her tired. Thank you once again!

Cute! But I don't know if I'm using the ball wrong, or if I just need to use it over and over again? They never seem satisfied that I play enough with them. It's a struggle to keep just one happy, there's not a moments rest for the Bun's mom...

@amarillion Thanks! Yes its need to be used over and over, you need to put it onto the bun. But every use of ball, aplies some exhaust to the ball so it need to rest. Good luck!

cute graphics! I like the multi tamogatchi gameplay, makes it more challenging. The creatures were adorable! Missing some cute music, otherwise awesome game!

Hi nice game, really easy to understand, self-managing difficult with how many buns you choose to spawn at once. The play tool was the only one that I wasn't sure if it had worked, maybe needs a stronger visual or audio cue. Excellent game.
