In a roundabout way by tiffi

I wanted to make a mining game for quite some time and somehow this LD seemed like the time to go for it. If you're wondering why the player is a ghost --> it's because ghosts have no arms and legs and I'm pretty lazy when it comes to animations :wink:.
Mine stuff, sell it, upgrade your tools!

@tpsy i kinda thought the game was just slowed down so that we could click on stuff in the invenstory?
The "press return to restart" doesn't work for me.

Also, not entirely related to the game: One round, I missed a diamond ore because I had a sword equipped. So I went to the pickaxe, equipped it, finished the loop, and the diamond was gone. I caught myself saying "Where's the money Lebowski?" out loud. So you made me do that too.

It Does Need Some Quality Of Life Changed Though.
- Making The Player "Attack" In the Direction Of The Mouse Rather Than Forward.
- Having 'E' and 'I' As The Open Inventory Key.
- Clicking Outside Or Pressing "Esc" Closing The Inventory.
- Balancing The Sword. There Really isn't any use for the sword Currently. Maybe Increasing The Kill Reward Of The Sword As It's Upgraded Might Help.
- Setting The Pivot To The Center Of The Ghost Rather Than The Sprite. It Was Quite Distracting While Moving.
- As Mentioned By @sli 'Press Return To Restart' Doesn't work
And That's It. Its Super Addictive!
I agree with the constructive comments you have received so far, a bit more polish would make it even better, but it's already really good
