Very cool. I like to see point and click games being made. Sometimes the hitbox on the clicks was a little weird though.

Awesome work!

Love the social commentary here, but applauding the point and click. Nice and simple game, but very enjoyable. Well done!

Very nice. The mood and graphical style are great. Clearly you were emulating a retro point and click style, so maybe the choice was deliberate but I'd like to see the delivery of text modernised a bit.

This game invokes memories, pixel hunting games of 90's. Art style is gorgeous!

Nice looking game with the magnificent tribute to old-timers. Only wish - is more things to do here in this cute setting.

I really liked the retro graphics, but I think the gameplay was a little bit too simplistic. You're just clicking on things, and there's not much variation in what it is you're clicking on. Sometimes the hit detection was a little bit off, and you had to click around a few times to actually select something, especially if the revived mangroves ended up obscuring a plant behind them.

I think this would work better if it were expanded out into a full game, with more levels, more varied gameplay, and a longer story. As it is, it's a decent demo, but it's crying out for more.

I liked the concept although you can still improve the gameplay. And music selection was good too. Please visit my game too and rate it:) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/the-dumb-robot

Great pixel art (so much nostalgia !) and great mood !

Suggestions:
- I think the melody of the music can be improved, the flute was a bit spicy for my sensitive ears :D (That being said the flute totally fits the theme of the dryad, as well as the third instrument which adequately evokes water.) It also got a bit repetitive for me, a longer track would make it perfect.
- The comment "That plant is doing just fine" pops a lot, I think it would be better if it occurred less.
- More gameplay, more gameplay !

A simple point and click, I like the artwork and the mood! The hit box were a bit off, nothing game breaking, A bit more of gameplay would have been nice, something like a manager-like or some challenge to the player.

The retro artwork and music were really well executed. Gives a real nostalgic feeling. The hitbox on the plants felt too small. It was hard to really tell if I was clicking in the right spot for them.

@kaafirookie @f1krazy @francesco Thanks so much for the critique! This was my first Ludum Dare, *and* I was sick that weekend, so I kept the scope pretty small. :) I'll be patching it with additional features, point-and-click verbs, and gameplay once allowed.
