A Timed Loop by Turkey

[raw]
made by Turkey for Ludum Dare 47 (COMPO)

Welcome to A Timed Loop!

This game was made with C# and Monogame!

My First attempt with anything other than Java!

Game has a helpful tutorial that is fairly self explanitory.

The timers on the levels are meant to be tight. It should take you a few times to learn and master each level to beat the timer.

Simply download the zip file, extract it, and run the "ATimedLoop.exe" file.

Wow the game engine you used looks so good, must have been written by a genius. Great game too!

Nice game. I thought at first the looping 5 levels was part of the game until I realized after the 3rd clear of that set of 5 that there are no more levels. The idea of a time limit that forces an immediate reset feels like a speedrun-platformer type of game, which is fun and forces you to find and take the optimal route to the exit. Good work!

The idea is fun, but the time limit made the game too difficult for me.

I got stuck on the level with the platforms that are dashed. I could make it to the button with 1 second to spare, but no more. These limits are extremely tight. Neat concept though for a precision platformer.

Nice game! I liked the theme, and the controls feel really nice, the level design is pretty cool. I have a few problems. 1) The pixel art wasn't great. and the pixel density wasn't consistent (if we split the game to units than sometimes a sprite was 16 pixels per unit and sometimes 32, you should avoid it as much as you can) the character walk cycle was to small to be noticeable and there was very little in terms of shading. 2) The game is very short and more levels could really help. 3) In my opinion the game was to easy and with combination with the length of the game create an experience without a lot of impact. In my opinion if you improve the graphics ad more levels and maybe add optional collectables so people cen set their own difficulty this game would be very fun.

Nice game! Good job with the graphics I really liked the time limit was short but it made it challenging. some things that you need to add are that you need a end screen and something that looks more interesting for the platforms, background, ground and walls.

the controls could be tweaked to feel a bit better: the jump compared to the running speed was way too high, i'd suggest making the running speed faster and the jump lower

the timer was pretty tight which i enjoy, i like games that challenge your speed

the last level was a bit weird, it felt like it was rushed significantly compared to the other 4

i wish something told you when you completed the game, i know the theme of the jam is Stuck in a Loop but still it felt very weird and i got very confused
