Good job, cheers! :D
Some improvements I can suggest are that the initial text could be written more fast, and the camera could follow the soldier.
But overall is a good game. Good job!
Greato Jobu!
It seems a bit more like the baby is the one keeping YOU alive here, but I found the game fun anyway. It would've been nice to see how long the powerup was active for, so I could know when it was going to run out!
The shooting felt really good, and I like how you're able to snipe enemies from far away. The AK power up was also a lot of fun to use.
I like the mechanic of the baby dropping when you get hit - funny and fun!
A couple suggestions for improvement if you were to continue working on this after the jam: I found the auto scrolling to be a bit frustrating, especially when I have a meter ticking down that I have no control over. I would also suggest placing a few more enemies - I would say it erred on the side of a little easy. The most fun parts were definitely when there were the guys who would repeatedly shoot at me!
This was really fun, and unique - congrats on submitting!
Great job there :)
Like previous comment, I skipped the text at the start because I thought clicking would make it appear faster.
I pretty much only have three nitpicks:
- The machine gun often doesn't do much right when I pick it up. I wish I could use it later. But I guess that would add another button.
- It's a bit slow in the beginning. I wish I could speed it up.
- Props for adding a boss, but... it was super easy.
It was a bit weird in the beginning that I could get fired at out of seemingly nowhere because the scrolling hit an enemy who miraculously couldn't see me a second earlier despite me standing right in front of him. I wonder if a delay might help here, but... I'm not sure if it is completely necessary, as it just meant that I will stay back a bit, and it added a ton of tension.
Apart from that: Simple but servicable graphics, music/sfx work well, and cutscene in the beginning and end - cool.
I had loads of fun. Really good job, folks!
