"WhereIsMyWand?" is a game about necromancer who mastered death an is on a mission to find his lost magic wand, that grants him his powers.

Quick notes about the dev process:
-During the Compo I slept for 16 hours
-During the Compo I was at work for 6 hours + 1 hour of going back home.
-My scroll broke the first hours of the compo

Controls:
-A/D -=- moving left or right(zombie controls are inverted)
-W/S -=- moving up or down(only as a ghost)
-Space -=- jumping(only as a zombie)
-Z/X/C -=- form change
-V -=- show hint

Software used:
-Unity Engine ver. 2019.4.11f1
-GIMP 2.10.18.0
-BoscaCeoil v2
-Visual Studio Community

Bugfixes:
-Fixed wrongly overlapping Sprite Layers
-Fixed icon not being present
-Fixed displaying work title to proper title
-Fixed character speeding in air rapidly while in air(void Update to void FixedUpdate)

Important changes:
-Changed hosting to permanent one
-Uploaded the fixed build of the game and fixed project

Love the idea of being able to change forms to access different parts of the map (although you can kinda go out of bounds haha). Loved the parallax on the background!

should there something happen when you get the wand?, because at that point I didnt know how to continue

graphics and sound are good tho, and its an interesting idea :)

@p-brighenti, @daitli @seskon Thanks for playing guys :D @seskon Yeah, you can change into any form by pressing Z/X/C and pressing V will show you the hint. The objective is to go back home and this would start another level in full game, sadly, I had to little time to make any other levels.

Nice game dude! Enjoyed the changing mechanics for the different forms and great work on the graphics.

The only bug I ran into was I got caught on the corner then flew in the air when jumping up the platforms.

The game was fuuuun... Loved it.. ghosts and zombies? sign me in. It requires a lot of polishing tho ngl. And I didn't really get the theme from it but it was a nice little game you got there.

I like that you added the hints, I would have been really lost without them. I enjoyed that you gain additional mechanics as you collect the items, it gives a nice feeling of progression. Nice job overall!

@arad-hamidsamiee @thewinrawr thanks for playing, the thing about the theme problem is time crunch, in original concept you weren't supposed to have control over which state you are in. For example, to pass the level you had to plan your deaths and your returns to the body to become zombie. Originally also there were supposed to be enemies that could be fought only in human form and ghost form had to beware of rouge specters. But as always lack of time(this ludumdare especially due to me going to work at Saturday)

Ps if someone feels like doing this concept justice just do it and let me know ^^

The piano music is getting aggravating pretty fast, but everything else is fine. I went into the house right at the start and got stuck.
The concept is great! I hoped for a hidden part to the right of the tree, and lo and behold, I found the edge of the world!

Interesting game, with some good ideas, if a little simple and short. Would have been nice to see some puzzles developed once you can swap between characters.

Nice little submission! I can see where you were going with the theme, and I've had the experience where the need to cut scope resulted in a game that doesn't fit the theme as well. I ran into a bug in the first 2 seconds of playing where if you move to the left at the start you get permanently stuck. My biggest suggestion for a quick win on quality/polish is to allow quitting with the escape key. It takes 30 seconds to implement and is much nicer than needing to kill the application to quit. It's the first thing I add to every new project.

Besides those two things, overall I think this was a good submission considering your time limitation. Well done!

The changing forms between ghost, normal, and zombie was really interesting. There are some strong potential behind that mechanic, unlocking new abilities between forms. Ghost in particular was really cool.

That said, the game does feel a bit bare-bones. Sound like the hectic schedule you've mentioned in the description prevented you from implementing more ideas into this game. Still, at least you got a silly story in there that required no text to convey.

As an aside, a random bug I found was that as soon as you start the game, returning back home soft-locks the game.

Interesting idea but felt like there wasn't that much point to the changing forms being needed.

Could be good with a few more tasks that require you to be in certain forms to do. Currently the ghost form would just be the best for any situation so there may need to be some limits on what the ghost can do or where it can go or something.

Also if you try and change from ghost while underground you end up hidden and able to move but not in any way that makes sense.

Good start but ended very shortly. Good base for more puzzles though. I liked the pixelart.
