Keep Her Alive by Jani Penttinen

[raw]
made by Jani Penttinen for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

I took the theme literally and made a game here you need to keep the main character alive for as long as possible. The main character moves around on her own, collecting dinosaur eggs. You cannot control her, but you can move just about any other object in the world. Move objects to fence your hero from incoming attacks by wild animals, and keep her safe! The game is not quite complete, but if I get good feedback I will keep working on it. There's a lot that I wanted to do, like giving treats to the hero, and allowing you to whack the enemies, but time ran out. :)

There's no restart. Once the hero dies, the game is over. You'll need to quit and restart the game in order to play again.

Haha! This is a very similar concept to our own game! Move the surroundings and not the character themselves. Well done!

I love the graphics of the game! They were solid and the gameplay was fun. I liked the intro cutscene a lot but I found the camera controlling once the game started to be really hard to follow, it kept jumping around. Other than that, fun and solid game :)

The concept of the game was good, but the weird camera controls and lack of in game explaination brought it down. Still a good game, but could be worked on more

I like the concept, but didn't quite understand the execution. I let her run, never died without having to move any objects. I really liked the art style, the game looked good. Perhaps more time investment into the programming side. Overall, good job!

Seriously cool music and atmosphere and an insane amount of 3d models. The camera is a bit jarring jumping when the character changes targets could use tweening.

Like everyone else is saying, the camera movement was nice, but also pretty confusing and jerky at times, fix that and you have a killer game

Overall great graphisms and mood !
The controls were a little hard to use, but if you can fix that it’ll be a game as killer as the moose inside <3

She got eaten by a horse I think. And then by a ravenous deer. This is why I'm not a vegetarian. If you dont eat the animals first, they will eat you.

I like the idea but the controls and camera are pretty janky!

Had no idea what was going on; got savaged by an elephant.
Superb take on the theme! Well done!!

Alright, pretty funny that you can just toss a house out of the way (how is that even a danger?). The spaghetti western presentation also helps this game a lot.

As feedback, I would have liked a better representation of what could be moved or not. When a horse appeared I didn't know if it was an obstacle or if the character would ride it. Then she started punching it. Fun times :D

Awesome music...Really like it.Environment is very good and animations are very good. Mouse is quite sensitive I think, and the camera movement when changing directions confused me. Cool game overall.
