Support Class by SamuelDeboni

[raw]
made by SamuelDeboni for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Support Class is turn based RPG where you play as a support mage trying to carry a tank that plays like a damage class. Use your abilities in each fight to keep yourself and your reckless teammate alive.

Tutorial:

Wait for your action bar to fill up and use the mouse to select your action and then a target. The knight will attack enemies randomly when his action bar is filled. Itens can be used regardless of the action bar.

If either you or the knight dies it's game over.

nice game. The Linux build worked and looked great. Maybe you could have added some health bars above the enemies. In The Pokemon games on the DS there was the option to select the opponent you wanted to hit. Something like that would also make it a lot easier to understand what is going on.

@timo-strating Glad to hear. This game was made on linux, and I'm realy happy to see that linux gaming is growing.
And I didn't had enough time to add the enemies heath bar :/

A fun one! Once you get the hang of the rhythm of combat, it's really nice to play.

That was very fun to play. The turn based combat and animations were great. Music went really nicely with the game as well. Nice work!

@smackmet Thanks, glad you liked.
I am proud of how the game came out, but I had to disable the Audio ratting, the music is not original and it would be unfair to people who made their on music.

Very nice game! We actually did something very similar (you also play the healer in an RPG party), which is why I found this so amusing!! =D

The main difference is that you used a turn-based approach, which made it much more tactical. Very interesting! You also managed to implement MP and items, which added depth to the in-game choices.

The battle animations are really fun to watch and the last boss (?) was very challenging (I couldn't beat it).

Lastly, I'm very very happy to see others using Godot ;)

Good job!

Very solid entry! I feel like the game should have also paused when the player had their move, as selecting a fresh ability without an action point available seemed not to register the new ability being clicked, meaning you couldn't pre-set moves before instantly clicking on a target when it was ready. I also feel like it plays out kind of turn based (but in a unique way) so pausing when you can take your turn seems fit to me.

Fun game! I enjoyed the blend of real time and turn based. Interesting take on the theme as well. As others have said, it would have been good to see the enemies health, as well as maybe the exact number of your and your partner's health.

This is a great JRPG battle system! I love the RNG in it. The art is SUPER cool. Over all very well done!

Interesting idea. At first I thought the game froze because when I clicked a spell everything stopped and there was no indication that I was supposed to click on something. That said, I liked this take on the Final Fantasy type game and I hope you will flesh out the game more.

Fun game! I didn't understand at the beginning that the battle was in automatic mode, maybe a checkbox to switch it on and off would be useful. (Well, I should have read it on your post though :D )
I liked all the different enemy animations though! Good job :)

Quite fun. Its the same idea as our game, but in a rpg, i like it. It feels a little repetitive after a while, but it's a good job overall !
