Hide, Seek, Die, Repeat! by Firesplash Entertainment

You are a Des-Tro-Bot, a bio-hybrid enforcer, specifically constructed by the species "Twiggs" for your one and only mission: Destroying a human habitat on their planet "Marz".

Your mission is clear but anything far from easy. Your only way to fulfill your order is manipulating the nuclear reactor near the entrance. Unfortunately there are several security measures applied. You will have to find a way to disable them in advance.

Of course the human people left some guardian robots in and near the habitat so you job won't be easy. Unluckily your mind is stuck in a loop, so that even if they destory your bio-hybrid body, your memories will always be transferred back into a new Des-Tro-Bot and you will have to continue your mission. There is no way out (except a Rage-Quit).

You should try not to die too often as dieing will give the guardian bots a chance to repair some of the damage you made.

This game has been created within less than 72 hours during Ludum Dare Jam 47 from scratch.

Controls: WASD/Left Stick for Movement, E/F (Controller: A) for interacting, Esc (Controller: Menu) for giving up and closing dialogs.

Hint: If you want to destroy a switchboard, hold Interact while standing near it.

I liked the graphics, and I end up hating those security robots. It's pretty hard.

The game seems to have an interesting concept. The graphics are good. I liked the setting too, although I was a little lost when playing. Good job.

I see. More time for reading required
Thanks for playing and for the feedback

Also we wanted to add a bit more effects to lead the player but we decided for optimization instead of extension in the last hours

I didn't realize what I had to do in the beginning too. I really enjoy the initial cutscene and the robot movement, but the screen is a little dark and I can find my way (but maybe my monitor's brightness is a little low).

Thanks :)

@rvenson yeah probably we should have added a path leading to the reactor or something like that :D

Ahh, I really like the concept that this game went for, but I can't help but feel that it's just really hard to play which is why I couldn't end up finishing it :( First of all, I really love the atmosphere that you guys created, that's top notch! However, for the first good 4 minutes I walked around in the outer wasteland without a clue of what to do. I gave up, but only then saw the picture on this page, and finally understood that I had to randomly press the 'darker' keys on the keypad in order to enter the facility. To be completely honest, I think you could either just remove this whole section, or make it so that the door just opens when pressing E, which would prevent players from getting stuck there. Also, inside the facility it's sometimes really hard to see where there are paths, because of the perspective. The radar is definitely nice, but sometimes you still end up getting trapped with almost no way out. I didn't really found any clear objectives immediately, except for going up to the first panels and doing something there. There were hints however, so maybe I didn't read well enough. Anyway, I still really liked the idea you guys were going for here, and I'm only trying to give some feedback which I hope is useful. I hope you keep developing this in the future, as there is definitely a lot of potential here! Best of luck, and good job on what you guys did already :)

Thanks for your detailed feedback @virtual-turtle-studio ! Highly appreciated!

Currently I doubt that we will continue on this but in my opinion it's definitely one of the better half of games we made for LDs until now

The point of finding objective in the first moments is omnipresent. I simply failed here  Next time we'll do better. Promised.

Once again: Thanks for all the feedback you guys gave.
