SYSTEM BREACH is a sci-fi themed retro first person shooter where you fight hordes of enemies to see how long can you endure.

C:/ DRIVE, 20XX

A powerful virus is on its way to infect and steal the data of a computer in a space simulating the data centers of the computer, however as it reaches the Antivirus is alerted and sends out defenders to take care of and exterminate the virus. Whether the virus lives is in your hands in this simulation, you must keep it alive.

This game was made for the Ludum Dare 46 under the theme "Keep It Alive" and was made in around 72 hours. Special thanks to Hades for assisting with programming and Beasauce and White Bat Audio for providing music to use.

lvoe the vibe ! Update the UI if possible, also I think its too big! Maybe you could try a nice HUD more integrated into your design style, and get the vib from doom/quake

This game is Superrrr!!! The music fits the environment of the game! Loved the old Doom styled gameplay! The post processing is on point! :open_mouth:

The mouse sensitivity should be smaller/variable. I had to lower to minimum my dpi to play the game. I love the idea and the setting.

Awersome style, like in first doom, but in neon! add more different enemies and weapons, work on level and decrease mouse sencitivity, and it would be the coolest game!

Thank you @daniil-tcyvakin , we definitely intend to add more enemies and weapons and the level will be massively enhanced from what it is now, but since adding new features is not allowed in the jam at the moment we'll have to wait.

A really well-made game! Really feels like a complete product. My entry started off as a Doom-clone as well and while I deviated from that a fair amount, it's so great to see an entry that full committed it and is crazy fun! My only tiny criticism would be that the fourth weapon didn't feel as good as good to use as the Uzi. Mouse sensitivity was a lot but nothing that can't be fixed with a slider.

This is a nice entry. The art, music, and mood of the game are pretty good. A couple of remarks, I found the screen a bit too dark at times to see what's there, and, as others have mentioned, mouse(trackpad) sensitivity was way too high for me, too(I tested the web version on a macbook).

@fancypants Thank you! The level was kind of rushed so we didnt have time to test how well would it work for other players, but we are taking everyone's suggestion into consideration and will make the default sensitivity much lower next patch. Fun fact, I usually play on really high sensitivity so it was an error on my behalf, but turns out there's this weird deal with Unity where the default sensitivity was a lot higher in the final build than it was in editor, we are looking into this though but until then you can change the sensitivity in the pause menu.

Oh man, this is so tight!!!! I loved it. The music is a hell of a bop -- made replaying rounds that much more enjoyable. At first I missed the 'press B to buy weapons' prompt and initially just kept running out of bullets. What a fantastic entry, I really love this one.

I enjoyed this game a lot, reach wave 7, assault rifle is kind of op, but 3 bots spawning next to me took me down. Also my mouse sensitivity was to high and aim was difficult to get used to but when I was it was really fun to play, excellent job-

Nice attempt, but just unplayable because of mouse sensibility. Respectfully the main aesthetic is gorgeous and the mood too, but all is spoiled because of this f*** bad mouse sensibility. It's really frustrating. I cannot kill just one guy - and don't tell me that I am a noob because I play DoD and CS eah day :) You have to add a feature which could allow us to change mouse sensibility value. So I will rate your project. Thank you ++

@geckoo1337 Thank you, and there already is a mouse sensitivity slider. Press ESC to enter the pause menu; there you can tweak the mouse sensitivity, HUD size and HUD layout. Peace :v:
