Run baby, RUN!
Keep the :egg: alive and try to survive his mother :scream:.
You stole the egg from the ostrich nest and now it chases you through the desert to hit you.

@ me once it's fixed and I'll amend my rating :)
I tried to fix it, but my Unity crashed and I don't know why. Also, it generated a lot of bugs about shaders. I'm really a novice when it comes to export builds in Unity.

But the good notice is that I made Win and Mac versions. I notice that my Win Zip was wrong upload and I fixed.
So, Is not HTML game but is my first try, sorry about the time you wasted trying t play my game.
Game is simple but fun, love the fail state animation xD
I think the looks are great! All the color gradients of the background and the sprites are simply great. I'd just work a little on the animations. Maybe adding some IK to the body parts and animating them would suffice. I really enjoyed the sound effects! Hahahaha Keep it up!
I love the quirky style of the game, your audio fits the animations perfectly.
EDIT: I just noticed that you opted out of humour! And you also opted out of audio... If you made the music, then why opt out of that category?
The game handled pretty well, there were some minor issues here and there that caused deaths but overall it was well done. the audio was great, I always appreciate when people take the time to add it and even more when it is made by them too. All in all, great job.
Keep up the good work and see you next Ludum Dare!
With ground perspective like that, you could move obstacles a bit higher. Sometimes, especially with small obstacles I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to jump over them, or if they are just part of background. Just a minor nitpick though ;)
Cheers!
Great job!
But now, to make this game really juicy and satisfying, I would like more feedback and feelings playing your game. For example the jump could be better maybe making it more "heavy" with more impact, just suppositions that's definitely not mandatory. But these kind of polish FX could be very long to implement, mostly during a jam. Good job and keep it up!
and you are right it is harder than i thought... i would even say it gets impossible after some time xD
@justcamh About your question: Idk, I edited to put the link in and didn't really realize I didn't have the categories open to qualify. I'm new and noob in game dev, literally in game dev like programming not in the other parts but i'm noob. So, sorry about that.
I edited once more to open the categories to qualify. May I borrow some of your time to qualify?

A couple suggested improvement if you are to continue developing the game: Perhaps adding a smaller jump as a second option would help improve variability. Clicking the space bar quickly versus holding it down for example. I personally felt the difficulty to be a little on the easy side, but perhaps I am in the minority.
I thoroughly enjoyed your game, congrats on submitting!
I enjoyed playing it and it made me laugh a few times when I got caught. The visuals were in a nice style and seeing animation was a nice change of pace compared to other games. My only suggestion would be to try and make it so that the rocks always spawn at the edge of the screen and come towards you, there were a few times when one would just appear in front of me which did keep me on edge I'll admit but I still think it might be worth looking into.
Great job!!
If the difficulty ramps up later (IDK, played to around Score 250), it could do so faster, or else the single button game becomes a bit boring.
The ostriches eye animation makes me blink excessively and unvoluntarily.
You made a good job at producing a funny (and working) little game with hilarious animations.
I don't know, if the rocks popping in later are intentional, I assume it is a feature to increase the challenge. Therefore the only issue I noticed was that the mute button is not working properly in the Game Over screen.
Keep going!
Found it funny btw, how the ostrich's jump power was so high, that he always hit the invisible ceiling :D
Game play wise, it got boring rather quick. Some more variations in level design and/or obstacles would've been great! Solid entry non the less
The high point, for me, was the authoral music and sfx. Nicely done!
The art is funny, but the rendering is painfull. It seems like there was missing frames and everything felt laggy and blinking. The obstacles appeared in the middle of the screen instead of in the right as you would expect in an endless runner, but appart from that, it is homorous. Can't say it made me play more than a couple of times though. Maybe some sort of different obstacles or an evolution that is able to show more of your art work before getting so repetitive.
I get the simplicity of a game with a single button can be attractive when programming is not the best resource, but, for me, it felt like another action button, as pressing down arrow key to force the character down to jump again ou a fire button to disable some types of obstacles or dock to avoid high obstacles was missed.
Hope to hear more from you! ;)
The collisions was a bit wonky and art wise it looks like the obstacles are not in the way of the player. Sometimes obstacles would just suddenly pop in.
I kind of wish the obstacles were a bit more strategically placed instead of random, though. Sometimes I get caught in an unwinnable situation where a rock spawns in front of me, but right in the middle of my jump arc, another one appears at my feet...
Still, nice job nonetheless!
