Music-Based Looping Wave-Defense Game

Get your punk on, using the power of music to fend off against hordes of crazed fans, as you switch between the four band members, using their own style of play and musical instrument to fight against your undead fans before they can take you away.

Micromanage your band as waves of fans try and swarm you on stage. Attack with timing and positioning your band member with your song loop. The longer you play the more fans but the more complex your song becomes.stage fright screen 2.png

Hey thanks for checking this out!

The instructions are:
Step One: Choose your band member (Q/E key)
Step Two: Line up your zombie-fan threat (Left click and mouse move to rotate)
Step Three: Let the rhythm take care of the rest!

Enjoy!

Like the vibe of it. Only thing I would have liked was some feedback from hitting the enemies, was hard to tell if I was making a dent at first. But overall enjoyed it. Well done.

the game could be nice if the gameplay was better explained

Being color blind, it was difficult for me to play the game. I had difficulty seeing the color of the circles. I asked a colleague to play for me and he seems to have had a great time on your game.

Really amazing game. The idea to combine music and TD is just nice. I really wanted to get as far as possible, just to hear the amazing music. Unfortunately I had difficulty hitting the right enemies with the right instruments, even though it looked like I chose the right color. I am not sure if I got the color wrong or if there is some kind of enemy life system.

Still, great work!

Nice! The game's concept is really similar to ours, but the gameplay is very different. I had a little trouble in the beginning grasping the mechanics (I feel they aren't super intuitive and could be better clarified in-game), but after a couple restarts I was really enjoying myself and the gameplay lasted quite a while. Good job, it was a very cool execution on the theme!

Super cool concept and the graphics are really endearing and cute! I checked out the instructions and was able to aim the instruments but it was still hard to play, maybe there was some mechanic I didn't understand? Either way, I would love to see this idea fully developed!

I all in for rhythm games, but that had really strange and intuitive controls :( It was hard to to switch the band members with Q and E with such a strange pattern. And then, suddenly I had to colors to fill and didn't know how to do that. Also, there was the possibility to rotate the active band member with the mouse? No idea what that did. The art and music was really nice and the presentation in general was really nice so it's a shame that it los me due to the controls. That's really something that could be worked on!
Keep it up.

I feel like I didn't "get" this game. I didn't understand how to kill the crowd; I chose the player and pointed at the people, but they take a billion hits to die. I would like the ability to switch the band members via the mouse as well, q/e or a/d (thanks for including a/d) weren't super intuitive. This may be in part because switching d from left edge goes to right edge instead of bottom

It was an interesting idea.
I wish the characters would attack faster.

It was too hard to understand what the player is supposed to do.

Nice entry! At the first time I didn't undestand how to play, and then I understand, it's a sort of tower defence, where each enemy has to be shot with the right gun. I think a little tutorial to explain this main mechanic would be cool. Anyway I really loved the art, good job! :)
